Hi I am trying to look for light-weight digital cameras that have some manual functions like this Casio Exilim EX-P700

But P700 is already quite old, can't find from the market now.

Can anyone help to recommend anycameras that can meets the specifications?

I tried to check Casio's web site, unfortunately they dun have any Pro series, only have Z-series

My requirements:
- Budget 1500 - 1700 (if can get less than 1500 will be great brows.gif )
- Lightweight: less than 300g
- support uncompressed format (I checked in dpreview, most of the compact cameras now don't have TIFF/RAW uncompressed format.)
- manual controls such as Manual focus, Aperture & Shutter priority settings, White Balance overrides.
- like to shot close-up (macro) and low light (night and indoor) pictures

I am still finding a suitable compact camera.

Thanks for ur recommendation, i read from dpreview and saw the sample galleries.
Its noice reduction system is quite strong, killing the picture details

hope to get some comments from Lx2 owners here.

you want raw, manual control etc.. then only lx2 meets the requirements.

if you want great pic quality, buy fuji f30.

That kinda spec ar.. hard to find.. =P

Most real photographers dun ask for a lightweight body, hence usually it it not made. Lightweights are usually more PnS.

Take a look at Canon's series. The IXUS' dun have manuals, only the A series, which is much bigger and bulkier.

I suggest the IXUS 70 w/IS or A670IS if u really wanna shoot those. U will love IS for low light stuff. The A series has the full manual controls.

Most compact dun support TIFF/RAW for good reason. Its almost useless. Get ur pics right when u shoot it and save ur time not having to edit it.
