Nowadays, very hard to find arcade in malls since they are closing down left and right. Even the current ones have boring games (eg Mid Valley). I need my pew pew craving like Time Crisis 2 and Point Blank. Anyone know where I can find arcades that have these games in KL/PJ area?

Also don't understand why new malls don't have arcades. All the newly opened malls so boring as they only have cinema or children play centre as a form of entertainment in malls. Boring leh. At least open a small one lah so people like me can play game to release stress after teman gf shopping for hours.

Sunway Pyramid has the nearest mall arcade I know of,there were mostly racing and some touch-screen music games.

I miss the days people line up to play fighting games. They are all good players from spending years playing the same games.

What happened the arcade in Time Square??

nowadays arcade not making money, cost of machine too high, and operation license another issue, you always see arcade kena shutdown by police. and most people playing arcades on PC, and new games usually ported to PC & Consoles.

so now popular ones are those not on PC & Consoles like Wangan & Initial D which requires steering setups, or those music games, or taiko drum games. Light guns still have, Puchong IOI mall top floor has Time Crisis 3 or 4 or 5 forgot and few light gun games.

Point Blank i long time never see. but you can play on Mame/PSX with mouse or Wii-mote if you really want.

The only arcade that still got those arcade cabinet i think is
KL
1) The Mines
2) Summit
3) Mid Valley (i dislike that balltop so big ...n the chair so high when the arcade lower than the chair ....my back.....it hurt....)
4) IOI mall (i only c 3 arcade cabinet for puzzle bubble , n maybe kof 02?)
5) Iutama (got some KOF)
6) Old carrefour at Sri Petaling (dunno what name), inside got those old Pac man KOF kaki

I guess that all? Others i not name it because doesnt got those arcade FTG or game i want to play. as most of them only Tekken.....whole arcade only Tekken.... like IOI mall that new arcade center at new wing.... just tekken....others is Wangan....

Really hard to find arcade to play now.
I also build a Raspberry Pi for myself to play the arcade game on it.

Its worse here. Most arcade centers in Penang are gambling dens.
Provided can go gurney plaza for the arcade...but mostly I see not many ppl there and the games seems to be expensive this days.

For beginner, i suggest you use Recalbox, is more easy to setup than Retropie,
until u good wit it, then u only move on to Retropie.
Currently i using Recalbox, although his update is the slowest,
but stable.

I do think Wangsa Walk has the best arcade. Still got Time Crisis 2 machine and many fighting game machines. For me, the best arcade in the past 5 years was the one at Mid Valley (near where the bowling place was last time) before they renovated the arcade. Still remember there were rows of stick arcades (back-to-back connected too) and 8 player classic Daytona. Good times.

Not sure if it's really Drummania itself but I saw a brand new looking drumming machine at Velocity.

Retropie for PRO
Recalbox for Beginner

Installing Recalbox is more easier than Retropie,
Retropie need to flash it to your SD card ; while Recalbox just download the zip file, unzip n put into the root of your SD card,
Turn on the Pi, if the SD card is ok, Recalbox will install. icon_rolleyes.gif icon_rolleyes.gif

SSF4AE2012 ....quite old shakehead.gif shakehead.gif
But better than nothing....

Mid Valley arcade not so nice, seriously. Expensive than others (last time), but i always found their button rosak.....
Now, my only complain is the chair is too high, play Tekken also difficult, my back hurt shocking.gif

Velocity arcade so good, but doesnt got those fighting game or any arcade cabinet i want to play.
One thing i hate is....my favor racing game OUTRUN 2 SP, they use PC ver with Chinese song on it....damn..... puke.gif puke.gif

I travelled a lot within Malaysia and one of my hobby during travelling is finding old game arcades in various places. Would like to share my findings where you can find arcades from 90s, not modern shit )
1. TOP one-hidden gem of Port Dickson, Regina mall https://goo.gl/maps/463Z6GuAF4zDsr3T9 You can play rare and old arcades from Sega, Namco for 1RM per game. Located on the highest floor. They have really big collection of old machines with railgun shooters, racing games.
2. Taiping Mall,Perak https://goo.gl/maps/b1UG9SQYdYGrJXQt5 There are 2 spots with arcades, the first one is located at LG floor in front of a grocery store. There are mostly railgun games. The second one is on the highest floor with old racing games like SEGA Outrunners. You can spend 1 hour there for sure.
3. Jaya Shopping Centre,PJ https://goo.gl/maps/ASHFJBdNYG9rQ6pc6 The only place in Klang valley i know with only old machines. It's nearby with TGV cinema. You can find there Virtua cops, Time Crisis 1&2 and other games from early 90s. 1-2rm per game.
4. 1utama,PJ. There is a branch of cobay with modern arcades on the 5th floor. However, they have the biggest collection with old NEOGEO arcades with soccer, KOF, bubble bobble, etc. Also, they have Batman pinball machine. Check it out.
Let's create an ultimate list of old arcades in Malaysia, write in comments other places, guys!

Hard to find now.

I normally wont do 99 hits combo on real people, even if i did, i only repeat few times n stop it. I dun want later bcome real human fight. Lol So i only done it on Ai more.
Even nowadays if u got good line vs overseas player wit FightCade 2, they normally wont do infinite combo, just do few repeat n stop.

I already stop going arcade, since now arcade not like old days.
For big big machine, i think mayb can try The Mines, 1U n Genting.

That's the best i can think of. Others just old game, n racing game more.
I want to play the classic arcade cabinet game like old days 98 those, also hard now doh.gif
but i play online nowadays. So i guess is ok for me
