Hey guys, I'm a to be Matrics student here. So, I'm just wondering if any of you who've been to Matrics here can share any of your interesting stories or memorable events while you were continuing your studies there. Was it a culture shock, were you able to adapt quickly or was it just something completely different. Any and all stories/opinions are appreciated. smile.gif

Edit: I'm trying to lie to myself that Matrics doesn't suck. Pls help.

all the lies will be shattered, and the truth will hit you harder than a bus sized meteorite flying at 99% of the speed of light hitting the earth. You will learn the true nature of humanity and the meaningless nature of your existence.

so why did you end up in matriculation? that place is full of lazy students whom did really bad at SPM and have no where else to go other than work in society.

just sayin', it's always better to hang out with good students.

life in matric depends a lot to which matric you're going. if deep in jungle then no hope but study. if near city then you're lucky.

I was homesick tbh and the wifi there sucked. Not sure about now, that was like 5 years ago. If possible, complete all your tutorials exercise before weekend then you can party all you want in the weekend. Tbh, transition from matriculation to uni a bit harder than school to matriculation itself. But yeah, matriculation is easy to score.

If you are dependent on internet get yourself a data plan if you can afford it. Sort of my entertainment during my time there.
Well others say it's easy to score..study hard too. Some knowledge might be useful later on in uni.
You have step half your foot in uni once you accept matriculation.
As for my experience take care of your belongings well.
While others say it sucks all those ignore them.
You save a year in pre u. You will enter uni earlier a year than those who undergone form 6.
You are lucky to be chosen to attend matric. I assume from your user name you are not a Bumi.

Hello there. I just finished my matriculation few days ago.

Life in matricuation is almost like in a boarding school. Classes are from 8am until 5pm with 1 hour lunch break. You are only allowed to go out during weekends. Matriculation is very easy to score. Just focus during lectures, complete the assignments given and you will be fine.

Also, don't spend all your time studying. Join the clubs and all the activities in the college. Have fun!

Take care of your belongings. When you get out from your room, always put and lock your handphones and wallet in the locker, even if you only want to go to the toilet.

I lost 2 phones and rm150, when I asked my roommate where my stuff is, they buat donno je. Then I borrow my classmate phone next door and call my phone, Ada bunyi bawah bantal dia. I straight go report and had him change room.

Never trust anyone.

The warden asked him why he looks scared, then after he question him many times, then only he admitted. Since I already got back my phone, the warden couldn't do anything but I asked the warden to transfer him to another room and he agreed. What happens to him after that I have no idea since I didn't saw him again after that incident

Lucky get Matrik. Pretty much Easy A and direct IPTA. I got one average girl who go Matrik and able to go UITM medical course. Other more deserving have to go IPTS route because take STPM. But that's life.

Smart hard and going active sport (non academic as academic mostly become kuli make billboard/artwork).

Compared to form 6, you have better facilities and benefits studying at matrix. Learn to see your lecturers frequently during break, that helps you to get acquainted with your lecturers as well as letting the other lect see you as one of those students that makes an effort. If you wanna study, consider going to the library or any other study spots available all over the compound. Your room will be too crowded, noisy and distract you. Like what the others here have mentioned, take good care of your belongings, because 80% of your time will be away from your room. Also, its nice making friends over there because majority of them comes from all over the country.

Maintain your CGPA, it should be easy 4.0.

Join clubs and make sure you take part in organizing events. From there u will build some chemistry with your good quality friends in matrix.

Gonna be tough and tiring to maintain both.

Join cainis students more, I can say almost all cainis students in matrix do well. Last time in KMK, only two Chinese didn't get 4.0 laugh.gif

Not trying to play race cards though. But making friends with correct attitude is important. biggrin.gif
