Login to wireless router. Channel width 20Mhz & the wireless channel to 1, 6 or 11

Previously I lived in USJ with the same Huawei router that I got. Wifi upstairs and whole house also OK.

Recently I moved to a much smaller house in Kota Kemuning, same routers and stuff..just pure relocation. After I moved in, the speedtest is the same..but the WiFi signal mcm sial / unstable. Even ground floor go in kitchen it will keep DC / youtube hang. Don't even get me started on upstairs.

I called the Unifi technician, he said nothing he can do.. router problem. Ask me to either call 100 to buy new router from TM (RM200+) or go for better aftermarket ones. Was told that after warranty all the equipment not covered anymore already? how true is this?

Test the speed using wired connection. Wireless 2.4GHz have interference and the speed can't exceed 30Mbps.
Since your unifi upload speed is 20Mbps , the download speed should be 50Mbps.

Tm Unifi only give free equipment upgrade for the 100Mbps subscribers. The items are the Huawei / Alcatel BTU & tp-link / D-Link Dual Band wireless router.

You can try ask from TM Support.

So the technician would need to come and give wireless router with higher GHz to resolve this issue?

Using wifi booster / repeater you are going to lost 50% of the speed. I would suggest wired a wireless AP to the 1st floor.

hi all.. I've upgraded by unifi to 50 mbps,  however when i tested at living hall just next to the modem,  it's fast,  close to 50 mbps,  but if i go upstairs,  i got only 10-20 mbps... is it normal?  possible for unifi to come n fix it or do i need to buy a booster?

The upgrade is instant if there are no problem with TM.

QUOTE(lordaragorn90 @ Jun 16 2017, 12:56 AM)
I'm wondering it too. Today, tm contractor came and change my router. They said I should be waiting for a while until notified by sms that Ive been upgraded. But until now im still waiting to be notified. I just called 100 and that cs person said it is still pending. How come still pending? Btw it is 50 to 100 upgrade.

This may sound stupid. I can't find a recent fix for Bypass Unifi block Torrent/other websites.

My new apartment apparently tied with Unifi & no other ISP yet.

Most of the time I download tv series & latest movies from torrent site. What's the best way (& free) to bypass Unifi blocking?

Please help.
