The nav bar has some light color overlay on it, hence the stripe look as in it was OLED burn in. If you test on a white background then there's no stripe it means it still is fine.

QUOTE(Andrewtst @ May 6 2017, 05:10 PM) I not sure that photo from where, that photo actually do show the burn-in button of home and recent. You are right. For that home screen burn in, it could be faked (highly likely) or like you said, it has been put on for a really long time on purpose.Just the person draw that red indicator is kind of dumb, it is like pointing to the line but in actual is point to that two burn-in icon. I don't believe in actual normal usage will burn-in those icon, it is high possible the person purposely turn on the screen forever not sleep and let it be there. ![]() |

QUOTE(aruja_69 @ May 8 2017, 12:28 AM) Bro can I know what is screen resolution u are using to get this standby time and also the brightness? Thanks I set at max all the time WQHD+ with auto brightness ranging from 30-60%. Highest brightness was set during outdoor usage.QUOTE(FuNks @ May 8 2017, 12:55 AM) Your battery usage 1day+ with 5H sot is good enough. If let's say ur usage around 10 hours, easily 6H++ Mine has even reached 8hrs+ SOT already with total usage of 19hrs. This post has been edited by emy_xvidia: May 8 2017, 01:15 AM |

QUOTE(angelgemini @ May 8 2017, 11:54 AM) sorry for any heavy wording.... Everyone has their own preference but I do share the same sentiment as yours. The phone is covered under a 2-year warranty if something happens then just dump it back to Samsung. Anyway I always bring a huge capacity powerbank when i travel so I guess I'm not really worried if my devices need some charging when I'm outside.i agree with personal. really depend how people wanna use it. for me, i would just on all and care free. when i need to pay using android pay or samsung pay, i just tap my phone without need to go on this and off that. when i open map, instant i get the location and use it without need to go on the gps and so on. when i use apps like uber, i can just open the apps a request the car without set this and that. when i reach home, it auto connected to my wifi without this and that. the best is, when i with my phone, i do not need to unlock the phone as it auto unlock by my bluetooth miband 2. this is why i pay the rm3699 and enjoy use all the functions plus ease my daily life. |

QUOTE(Bacon-ator @ May 9 2017, 01:29 AM) Sorry guys asking another question. About the samsu original sp, if I buy at their store can ask the staff to help apply? If not nice can get them to apply again? Just insist on them to put nicely and obviously if its not nicely put you can ask them to try again. If they fark up just ask for another one. They slap a RM40 price tag for a piece of plastic, that price alone screams a good installation on your phone. |

QUOTE(Ckxiaobao @ May 9 2017, 11:13 PM) Check out this item I found on Lazada! Galaxy S8 Screen Protector(3D Glass), LUOWAN 3D Full Coverage Good find! Wondering whether it suits with Samsung Alcantara case.Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Samsung Galaxy S8 (Midnight Black) http://www.lazada.com.my/galaxy-s8-screen-...k-25997358.html Some reviewer said this won't overlap back case Anyway guys, do we really need to register manually for the warranty extension or just wait for Samsung to SMS/email us? |

QUOTE(kevlim7 @ May 10 2017, 01:23 PM) Hi all s8 users, I'm experiencing battery drain problem while charging either on wireless charger or cable. Something is wrong with your phone. Have a peace of mind and dump it back to Samsung. Let them think and repair/replace it while you keep a peace of mind. You paid them a hefty amount of money for the phone so imo no need to troubleshoot yourself with the problem you're having.I'm encountered the first charging problem on third day after using it. At first, it charge a bit slow compared to another s8 owned by my gf that we used to charged at the same time and usage just -4%. Then, my phone stuck at 83% and going down to 82% and up 83% repeatedly. After restarted my phone, it going well til 100%. Today even worse, I left my phone charging overnight and after I got up I've found that my phone battery only at 90% and keeps draining no matter on wireless charging or original cable. Does anyone encountered the same problem? Need help here is there any solution? Thank you. |

I really love the 'separate app sound' function. Spotify BTed to my JBL Charge 3 while Whatsapp notifications sound off on the speaker phone. Uninterrupted music playback while not missing any notifications from whatsapp as well. Fantastic!
A few days still enjoying exploring the stock features on the Samsung. Maybe this time around I'm gonna keep it stock all the way without rooting and custom ROMing on it. |

With a little bit of self-discipline to turn on the airplane network when out of coverage (7 hrs of non coverage), manage to get the S8+ running through a day and a half with 5hrs+ SOT. For an Android phone this is suficient for me. Now can only think that the upcoming Note 8 must be a beast in battery conservation!

QUOTE(Superman7 @ May 10 2017, 02:46 PM) You can find it in the Sound & Vibration option and scroll all the way down. Have a test, useful feature of the phone.QUOTE(Andrewtst @ May 10 2017, 02:48 PM) This function is cool just it only allow one apps. Hope feature it can preset few apps auto out to selected device. Yup the only phone currently that has the funtion. Hopefully future updates would enable multi apps selection or maybe they would reserve it to the beasty Note 8? At least I think only this phone got this awesome function. |
