KUALA LUMPUR 5 Mei - Bank Rakyat mengumumkan pembayaran dividen sebanyak 15 peratus berjumlah RM450 juta kepada ahli bagi 2016.

Menteri Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri, Koperasi dan Kepenggunaan (KPDNKK), Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin berkata, pencapaian positif itu didorong prestasi kewangan Bank Rakyat yang baik.

“Bank Rakyat merekodkan keuntungan sebelum cukai dan zakat bagi tahun kewangan berakhir 31 Disember 2016 sebanyak RM1.74 bilion berbanding RM2.01 bilion pada tahun sebelumnya.

“Keuntungan kumpulan ini dicapai meskipun dalam situasi ekonomi domestik dan luar negara yang mencabar,” katanya dalam majlis pegumuman prestasi kewangan dan dividen Bank Rakyat di sini hari ini. - UTUSAN ONLINE

how to put this eh. Bank rakyat is a cooperation bank and any coop members has to pay fee(shares) to join the coop. so this is the dividend for that fee.

Gov should inceease more coop banks. At least, the common members can get the best return

its investors.

sure you can sell back but why since you get good returns from it.

i done this few years ago. you have to go to Bank Rakyat and fill in a form for this purpose. there is a long waiting list for this coz so many people interested unless you able to find some share owner that willing to sell it to you directly. me, i have to wait for quite sometime after submitting the form, then only offered 500 units that equal to RM500. ok la. resubmit an application and still no news till now.

Thats the beauty of coops.

2012 they open only 500 unit. Bought it and until today, no offer to increase the share. LOL

You have to wait for them to open new shares. Already 6 years waiting.

15% is lower than their averange. BTW regret sold their shares many many years ago

And I don’t remember how long I waited. Even when received the invitation to purchase the unit I was surprise coz I already forgotten that I applied for it.

I think it was just my luck as that year bank rakyat decided to increase their public share.

What I was informed before which I don’t really sure if it true or not is when somebody sell their share, then the waiting list given the chance to purchase it. I guess it is a very longgggggg list
