QUOTE(Nama saya Amad @ Aug 25 2017, 07:31 PM) If I apply for two credit card with the same bank, would they just give combined limit instead of per card limit? I have one currently with bob, but the card is not that great. Looking to apply a new one with the same bank. In this case, will they give a new limit for a new card or just combined limit per the old card? Will be sharing credit limit regardless number of cards you have in the same bank Another case that bank may increase credit limit if your income increased based on last application If you referring to Islamic card and normal card, then different case. Example: MBB2 card = 10k MBB Islamic card = 5k Islamic card only CL for 5k, can't use more then that

QUOTE(hurtedheart @ Oct 19 2017, 10:40 PM) Today I first use the pay wave function on my credit card. While it is convenient, I notice a drawback, for example, if I lost my card without knowing it, someone who picks it up could just buy something opting to pay by the pay wave function even he does not know my PIN number as long as the value of the merchandise is below the capped amount. So i do not actually see it more secure than the signature method which has been phased out though it was claimed signature could be forged.my question is: By using pay wave, is there a way for the cashier to identify the identity of the payee in relation to the identity of the card holder. And for PIN number too, my sibling who sometimes uses my card (I know it's not right but sometimes just want to utilise the features of the card whose quota is still available 😝) do not need to imitate my signature like what was previously done, as long as the PIN number is known and payment will be made as if the card belongs to the person who swaps it ... FYI, Paywave only can be use RM250 and below transaction, not more than that amount

QUOTE(yoonyin @ Jan 3 2018, 03:49 PM) Any buddy come across dining at PappaRich paying the bill with credit card and the cashier still swipe the card on their Cash Register Terminal Monitor after Pin and Pay. Is this consider double swiping which is illegal nowadays? I already encounter twice at PappaRich, once at JB City Square, another was KLIA2 recently. Noticed too but I assume they are just swipe for card detail instead of manual key in to their system for record purpose. So far no double transaction. I have been dining there multiple times already The one PappaRich at Nexus Bangsar South

Check transaction and see if they charge, if charge call and ask for waiver? 3. If they decide not to waive, I say wanna cancel card would I still be charged after I cancel the card? Thanks 1. You can call before anniversary 2. Yes, make sure no transaction after charge 3. Process to cancel if you don’t use the card, no need pay for the annual fee if there is no transaction after that

QUOTE(iksern @ Mar 20 2018, 12:03 PM) Want to ask: I want to cancel one of my credit card, but i still have instalment in that card. So if I go on to cancel it, will I able to cancel the card? If i can cancel, what will happen to my instalment? Do i need to pay in full (early settlement) or I will still be billed until the instalment period ends (only that i cannot use the card)? You need to settle the instalment first then only can cancel Or request for final statement including all balance of instalment then cancel

QUOTE(fruitie @ Mar 25 2018, 04:42 PM) If banks found out, they can remove all your points and cash back. There's an ongoing court case now between Maybank and a cardholder which Maybank removed 9 million treat points? I can't remember the exact figure but I recall it was million. I'm actually interested to know the outcome. Not sure what is the status now.

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 18 2018, 09:14 AM) I wonder once SST is back, if this will also bring back the Government Service Tax for credit cards. RM 50 for each card just like previously, the only difference is I have added like 20 cards over the years. During those time I only had M2Cards and OCBC Ti. If it really happens now, I'm basically doomed and have to let go many cards. I recently just count how many cards I’m actually holding, apparently I need to let go a dozen of cards from my list IF imposed government service tax. Hope not to be but enjoy first ~
