I don't have anymore baki tertunggak and already prepaid 18 months ahead, last tried applying new CC in April is still rejected. Coming Oct will be a year, let's see how it will fare that time. Not urgently looking to add cards as my current cards are kinda sufficient for my usage.

what do you mean prepaid 18 months ahead? you have excess in your credit card account? how do you calculate 18 months ahead?

you can pump any amount using your card, be it MYR5, 8 or 100. no one should question you on how you use your cards. it is your decision, and you need to pay to the bank on your charges.

If the bangla come and tc, just fxxx them and tell them to buzoff, not their business!

Had to cancel my Maybank Visa Signature card cos they imposed annual fee and my spending did not meet the minium requirements cos I only use that card to milk the cash rebates for petrol and grocery.

Maybank also knew that so they refused to give waiver.

Nowadays I have to look for cards that says upfront no annual fee or annual fee waiver with xtransctions
*
how much is the minimum spent?

Hello, newbie here. Is there any requirement such as 1 year loan (car or housing loan) before you can get a credit card?
Because I recently applied for a credit card, but both banks rejected me.
Fresh graduate here and I just started working for 5 months.
May I know which bank does not have such strict requirement because I am not getting any loan anytime soon?
*
btw, what is your income? fulfilled the criteria?

RM 36,000 Annual income, fulfilled both bank criteria. The only reason they gave me is I do not have any credit history.
*
how you know they rejected because you do not have credit history?
what about do you have any owing? PTPTN or others maybe?

No, u can cancel anytime u want.. it is not like those CASA that will hold ur minimum balance if u close account within certain months.. so, no minimum period to cancel any credit card in Malaysia.
*
u can cancel anytime you want, but the sales person wont get their commission

Unlikely. As EPF statement has contribution both from Employee and Employer. I supposed you can only contribute as either party.
You may consider pledging Fixed Deposit as collateral for the credit card you are interested, though.
*
u are not working? why no epf contribution?

cybpsych, I read a bit about the BT, doesn't really seem to match my requirement.

Also, it have minimum transfer value.

Let's say I change my question.
Can I use my debit card to pay off my credit card?
*
debit card is your own money, not credit money from anyone. off course you can use your debit card to withdraw money then pay off your credit card.

Wanna ask, assuming i have applied balance transfer and every month i need to pay RM1K for 6 months. At the same time i utilized another rm1K on the card itself. So by due date i need to settle rm2k. But if say i only paid rm1k, how will the interest be calculated? Since the interest on the balance transfer and the credit card is different right?
*
BT Will be charged already, on top of that the balance 1K will be charged CC Rate, means charged 2 times.
