Recently paid off my PBB credit cards and decided to cancel it (too many CC). However today I checked my statement and there's a reversal transaction named CARD SERVICE TAX REVERSAL CREDIT NOTE: of RM25.

Since I cancelled two cards I have RM50 CR balance on both cards. Is there any way that credit balance into my savings acc? Tried the fund transfer method but it failed.

I know RM50 may seem like a small amount to some of you guys but money is money :S

Do you have PBB savings? If yes, call them to cancel and tell them to transfer the balance into your savings account.

Got PBB savings but will it still work if the cards are already cancelled? I don't know why there's a tax reversal after I cancelled the card.

Seems like OCBC revised their OCBC CashFlo Mastercard CC, with lesser benefits, effective 21st April 2023.

Previously there's 0.5% cashback on all retail purchases and other IPP benefits.

Current Features

0% interest on Auto-IPP
❑ 3 months Auto-IPP for retail spending of
RM500 to RM1,000
❑ 6 months Auto-IPP for retail spending
above RM1,000
❑ 12 months Auto-IPP for Great Eastern
Life/ General Insurance with premium of RM2,200 and above

New Features
0% interest on Auto-IPP
❑ 3 months Auto-IPP for retail spending of
RM500 to RM1,000
❑ 6 months Auto-IPP for retail spending
above RM1,000

I've been holding on to this card since I have GE Insurance and can split my annual premiums into monthly payments with 0% interest. Do you guys have any other CC recommendations that is on par with the CashFlo in terms of IPP?

General question - I just got approved for an Ambank credit card. I changed my mind and do not wish to activate it. Will the unactivated credit card expire after a certain period of time or do I need to call customer service to explicitly tell them to cancel the credit card?
