hey all
not sure if this was asked before since I didn't see it anywhere
what are the pros or cons when applying a credit card via:
• urself through bank website
• urself in person directly with the bank
• through agent from booths
• through comparison websites (ringgitplus, comparehero, imoney, etc.)
the most obvious pros are the freebies that come along either upon registration or upon successful application but I would like to know if there's others. i.e. better success rate, easier annual wavier application, etc.
and while on topic, I’m a little puzzled about the whole freebies thing. I heard about cases such as upon successful application:
• agent not giving free gifts whereas bank does (agent took the gift for themselves)
• bank not giving free gifts but agent does (only agent specific promotion)
• only comparison website giving free gifts (comparison website only promotion)
any recommendations in this regard for which channel to apply through?
HSBC I applied via website then they call to do some verification and then email me a link to upload all the required documents and got it approve within a week.not sure if this was asked before since I didn't see it anywhere
