i had an uber trip from bukit jalil to renaissance hotel yesterday. after dropping off the rider, he was shocked to see the fare was higher than expected. just now i check the trip invoice etc, and found this... see the red circle? i did not ride those route... a long u turn approximately 5-10km... anyone encounter any similar experience?

GPS issue perhaps? Is not uncommon for phones' GPS to misbehave in certain area.
Otherwise, it could be a big in the system.
By the way, so how did the rider pay? As per the bill or what?

nope, he refuse to pay more than what shown on his phone. not entirely his fault tho.

summore i made a small mistake by entering a wrong turn (from attachment, see the small turn before reaching destination). it makes him believe that while he was sleeping in my car (yes, i am very gentle driver), i might had drove into more wrong turns that makes the fare bump up like crazy.

so yeah, end of the day, i receive a feedback regarding my navigation skills bangwall.gif

I tot uber already implemented upfront fare?
Should be the same as the time of rider booking? No?

we dont have any problem with the way of the fare being implemented. my point is that, the fare was being mark up because of the application error.

i report this case to uber, and i receive compensation. thank God. uber customer support is soo good and just. kudos uber!

but then again. the feedback navigation is killing me every time i open the rating page bangwall.gif

Recently I encounter a customer from KL Sentral to ampang jaya.

The trip was smooth customer look ok also. but we ended up 2 km away from the actual destination as shown in the gps. After that I reset the gps to reach there at the ended.

The customer complain that the fare has been doubled compare to what it shown in his app previously. Anyway he just paid after I told him the driver only follow instructions given by the app and I though issue settled. later of the day I found that my rider rating dropped.

Most important thing is that your rider rating still ok.
