Hi guys, I'm looking to buy a new kapcai bike replacing my old Lagenda 115 ZR (last model before it got Fi upgrade). I'm thinking of Future Fi (I think this is Wave 125i?). Do you guys have any other suggestions? It's meant for daily use to work (+-25km per day).

I also not sure whether to buy new or secondhand. While I prefer new bike I don't want to spend so much money because I'm planning to buy cash.

Thank you in advance!

Any issues with your Lagenda? if not, i may as well just suggest retaining the bike as it is a short distance. but if u wish to change, no issues with the Future as far as i have heard.

This one to me best bike for daily commute + weekend ride, as long as you can live with the tiny fuel tank laugh.gif

After work, can go tapao food, do light grocery and masuk box balik rumah so convenient. Perfect daily

excellent suggestion, but i doubt you can find very many SV650s and vstrom 650s for 20k. Very good bikes though.

the z650 seems the best bang for the buck japanese used bike for beginners. Some later models have ABS. You might be able to find some older MT07s for around the same price but unfortunately, none of them have ABS.

some might say the kawazaki 650s are a bit boring, but then again, for a newer rider, boring might just be a good thing, and lets face it, its a bike, no matter how boring it is, its still bags of fun for someone starting out.

Z650 always came with ABS. I think you mean ER-6N. I have used and sold off my Z650. Daily commute was used to be 80+ KM from Bentong to Cheras and then got WFH, bike was of no use already. Just go around with kapcai's. Sold it off more than a year ago. Reliability was top notch and maintenance is very cheap. Only expensive thing to maintain is the tires. Which can last for 15-25k KM, depending on the tire type and way of riding.

I think when the z650 came out, they had an ABS and non ABS version. Maybe everyone bought the ABS version

Never knew that they have the non ABS version as im one of the early ones to buy the bike in Malaysia. That was my main concern as I had both MT-07 and z650 on my mind when looking for bike and was steered away from Mt-07 since no ABS. Even Versys at that time doesn't come with ABS version.
