QUOTE(alexei @ Jan 17 2020, 04:19 PM) Full system or muffler only? Yes full system, with standard ECU.If full system, need to dyno tune and aftermarket ECU for a full remap, otherwise FID doesn't help at all. Most shop will close the AIS valve to eliminate the exhaust popping with aftermarket silencer/exhaust. |

QUOTE(jaycee1 @ Oct 28 2022, 02:04 PM) Yep. I'm 63kg, when I take a 48kg pillion and 20kg worth of camping gear (plus the 15kg of racks and paniers) the bike starts to feels weird. It's close to max payload. Even with rear preload cranked to the max. Front just has no grip in corners, and the brake dive is crazy...but it is what it is. If u always carry pillion and camping gear, then u should go and look for touring bike . Example like tiger660, Suzuki Versys that kind of bike. Fairing or naked bike i don't think will suit your requirements.Which is odd, the chassis is built more robust than the spec suspension is capable to handle. Everything on the bike is built extra heavy duty (hence the weight) but they put jello for suspension. One of the reasons I am looking for a bigger bike. |

Indeed. But the Dominar is my first "big bike" in malaysia after not being on one for 20 years....so just got it for cheap and in disposable. So been shopping for a replacement. Will keep the dominar for dirty work, and likely getting a sports tourer for highways. I seldom take a pillion on off road camping trips. The bigger ADVs are just too big, tall, heavy and expensive for me to comfortably take offroad. I'm vertically chanllenged at 5'6" and 63kg. Difficult to muscle a 200+ kg bike in the softer stuff. If you take a fully fueled Vstrom or Versys, and add camping gear and panniers, I'm looking at 250kg++. Well if you consider the Dominar 400 as a big bike........ Actually if u can handle dominar 400, then the weight of the motorcycle shouldn't be a problem for u. As far as what i know dominar 400 is a hefty bike also. The kerb weight of dominar400 is also around 190++ kg. So maybe u can go n try on some touring bike and seat on it. As far as I know like tiger 660 also around 190++ kerb weight. But once u on the ride u won't feel the weight . Off course it also depends on how much budget u have. |
