Hi Guys,

I am newbie to bike.
need recommendation for moped bike to do daily weekday commute from nilai to klcc (around 45km 1 way).

Thinking about Yamaha 135LC because no clutch and liquid-cooled engine (some say good for long ride)
Do you guys have other suggestion?
*
If u prefer no clutch kapcai, take either lagenda fi, dash 125 or sym sport rider. I suggest either one of these 3 despite smaller cc & still air cooled engine mainly because of these 3 kapcais are fuel injection. Believe me, with daily ride like yours, u wanna ride a fuel efficient kapcai. Lc135 is still using old technology, carburetor. U will fork out a lot of money for monthly fuel if u use lc135. U will save a lot of money for fuel using any of these injection kapcai. Plus, they got storage compartment under the seat which u can put your raincoat & other small items which is useful. Lc135 doesn't have this handy storage compartment though. Air cooled engine is still okay with your daily ride because u r still less than 70 km one way, just my opinion though. I have rode dash v3 and now dash 125, around 35 km one way daily ride to work, just less 10km from yours though..

Why dont go for fz150i? More comfortable for that kind of distance and bigger fuel tank. The price also not so much differ with moped
*
He said he wanna no clutch bike, so I suggested him kapcais without hand clutch. Plus, he also said he wanna moped bike in the first place, so maybe he wanna a bike which can pasang bakul.. haha tongue.gif

Anyway, I kind of agree with u fz150i is a better bike for long daily ride. But I personally also prefer moped because got bakul one, easy to buy groceries, go pasar malam, etc.. tongue.gif

Theoretically fuel injection will have better fc.

But upon checking fuelly, lc135 average fc is 45km/L.
Still ok.
*
But I have rode lc v1 before with aggressive riding style, 80-100kmh speed, only 120km max one full tank I can get. My previous dash v3 & current dash 125 consistently can get 170km one full tank, with the same riding style, with fc rate at around 50 to 55 km/l... rclxms.gif

Hence the reason why I suggest him those three kapcais because of my own experience. smile.gif

I do like lc as well due to its power, liquid-cooled & no hand clutch, but I simply will not get it due to still using carburetor.. doh.gif

Honestly though, I will not return back to any carburetor type bike since I have experienced the good-ness of the fuel injection technology. haha tongue.gif

This supercub clone surely is a carb one. Already saw the brochure stated that is is a carburrated bike.. dry.gif

I dont think at rm4588 can get any fi kapchai, even the lowest kapchai model with fi, for instance honda ex5 fi will cost rm5xxx otr..
At that price range, rm4500-ish mostly u will get carburrated kapchai from various brands.

The most bummer thing with these numerous new brands producing kapchai, why the heck they still producing carburrated bike..? I know to save cost & to sell it at competitive price but then, what year is now? end of 2018 & still releasing old tech carb bike.. aiiyyooo.. doh.gif

Only honda seems to have the most kapchais with fuel injection except wave alpha model.. Other brands still lacking behind...

I do like this supercub clone but the only thing that might be a hindrance from me buying it is the fact that it is still a carb kapchai.. I still will wait for Boon Siew to bring in the supercub retro 110c just like the thai model yawn.gif

But EX-90 isn't the parts similar to the likes of Honda EX-5? I wish I could find a parts list for the EX-90!
*
I think demak ex90 isn't really that similar to honda ex5 dream though... the ex-90 is more like a hybrid between yamaha y100 & honda ex5 dream.. The model that exactly copied ex5 dream is the sym e-smart 110. The e-smart sure can interchange the parts with ex5 dream or vice versa..

Hello guys, newbie here, I am thinking of getting Yamaha 135LC. Just wanna ask is it a thief magnet? I will use it as daily commute and average travel distance would be around 20 - 30 km. Or is there any better alternative? Thanks biggrin.gif
*
Yamaha lc135 still is a thief magnet bike and still in the top 5 most stolen bike in M'sia. Other alternatives include lagenda 115z fi & dash 125; these two bikes are wayy more fuel efficient than lc135.. You will not regret of owning either one of these: fuel efficient, low maintenance cost, convenient underseat storage & performance is decent for their cc ( both of them can easily overtake lorries & cruise on highway between 80 to 100 kmh without stressing the engine too much)

If u still favour lc135, invest yourself in 3 different types of bike lock & be sure u know how to find secured parking sites. Never randomly park your lc135 if more than half an hour.. Other than that, pray hard that your bike will never get stolen. Just my two cents though.

will check the coil first, then if cannot do anything need to check the ECU
Tried to use ron97 petrol, haha! seems a bit okay, compare to ron95  sweat.gif

Other than the steps mentioned, have u changed the fuel filter? Dirty fuel filter might also be the culprit to your issue..

Is yamaha y16zr or y15zr  really that good compared to honda rs150r or honda rsx ?

I never bought yamaha before. Due to their 2 or 4 months que time.

Seriously tho. What made yamaha so desirable?
*
Because yamaha design perfectly caters to Malaysian taste in kapcai segment. Just ask around and many will say that ysuku mmg lawa, smart & desirable to many people regardless of age.

Is Modenas Kriss MR2 still in production? Should I get the MR2 over the MR3?
*
I think not anymore but u can try survey around klang valley to find shops that still have the old stock.

I think u better skip mr2 & mr3 entirely since they are Zhongshen rebadge kapchais from china. Well, I think u can expect the quality mcm mana la... sweat.gif

I recommend u to get ct115s since it is the only current modenas kapchai with kawasaki-designed engine. At least u can depend on its reliability since we all know the legendary status of the old kriss 110 & 120.
