Sometimes I really wonder if I'm searching wrongly.

Apologies if this has already been asked... I don't see a thread on Harley Davidson. I'm seeing more interests in BMW bikes and have a friend who claims maintenance is low.

I've actually never really liked a Harley. But lately I'm wondering if it is a good bike to own? Low or High Maintenance?

How about price - depreciate fast/slow?

Happy to hear your thoughts and pointers. I'm a newbie at this smile.gif

To be honest, harley wouldn't be low maintainence.

BMW still okay, if you affordable for the body price, accessories and maintainence shouldn't be a problem.

Are you looking for easy rider, touring or racer bike? Price range?

I just got my full B license (using the new full B conversion.
However, I still don't have my "Home Minister's approval" to buy a bike (You get my meaning ah? rclxs0.gif

I am not entirely sure if I will buy a bike because might not have the time to ride it.
Was even thinking of renting a bike instead.

If I were to buy a bike, my first criteria must be "value for money" and "low maintenance".

Cannot really afford much biggrin.gif

Second criteria used to be a racer. But because I'm around 50 years old, don't think I can use a racer anymore.

Which is why I thought Harley would be a good idea.

In fact, now I'm even thinking about an Electrical Bike?

I'm a noob.

Any thoughts and idea is much appreciated. Thank you in advance.

would you consider a maxi-scooter?

Sorry, I did consider it... but no. I don't think it is what I would like. Thank you

versys 650 2nd gen or (if ur willing to pay more) 3rd gen would definitely go under value for money and low maintenance n would also be ok for a 50yo to ride with his wife.

give an exact number of how much ur willing to spend coz ur post is kinda contradictory.....

"Cannot really afford much", "value for money", "low maintenance" doesnt usually fit in the same sentence (or even paragraph) as "harley". so ur definition of "much" is gonna be different than the next person.

come to think of it, the closest thing i can think of that suits all those requirements n harley style (i.e cruiser) would be the Kawasaki Vulcan S.

I don't know yet how much I'm willing to spend. But based on my initial asking around, I'm thinking below RM20k? LoL!
Sorry to disappoint...

Thank you for this. Will look into this, I tested some Vulcan bikes for fun years ago....
