QUOTE(tru3sold1er @ Dec 20 2022, 10:29 AM) New update: Cancelled and refunded. service price, part price, u can watsap tis shop. or any other shop u can find. Am thinking of MT09 V3. Can anyone enlighten on the the services/maintenance? Would it be considered a significant update for V2 against V3's TFT and quickshift down for RM10k(?) price difference? Also things like how much should I expect for the services/maintenance, are parts easily available, should I be worried about anything, etc. Update: First bike, thinking of using it until EOL/EOS. ![]() |

you can go ask owners tht change frm versys650, bout the vibration, since tht's the main issue. |

no choice liao,
- borrow other/frens bike(wife) - test ride bike shop, kawa road show ( limited ) - test ride used bike https://roadandtrail.net/Reviews/2017_Versys650_Review excerpt The deal breaker for me, though, was the level of engine vibration. This motor is buzzy! The vibration can be felt through the grips, foot pegs and seat. The vibration was a constant annoyance and never faded into the background. For 2015 onwards rubber engine mounts are used. The handlebar is supposedly rubber mounted a well. I was really expecting that the engine vibration would be much more subdued, but it's not. It's probably an improvement over the previous generation of this bike, but there is just too much high frequency vibration for my liking. That's really unfortunate, because this is a really nice bike otherwise (with the exception of the abrupt throttle response at low speeds). At an indicated 5000 rpm in top gear, the speedometer was showing about 107 km/h. The engine vibration is evident over 4000 rpm. I've ridden the Honda NC700X and NC750S which also have a parallel twin, and they were a lot smoother than this Versys. The 90-degree v-twin in the V-Strom 650 is really smooth as well. The motor makes adequate power, but I thought it felt a bit less powerful than the V-Strom 650 (I'm not sure of the actual output of the two motors though). Gear changes were fine. QUOTE(Nightstalker1993 @ Sep 17 2023, 02:13 AM) My old bike is 1993 XJ600 ler, very different than XJ6 diversion. Mine is air cooled and down 20hp compared to the Xj6. In terms of vibrations, my xj600 is buttery smooth compared to my Katana which vibrates like hell above 6000rpm. tht bike u managed to sell to hu? |
