Sighting this thread i would like to take the opportunity to share with you all on how to secure your self online apart from using an anti-virus software.

There are hackers ready to snoop you at any time of the day, so is it not better that you have a tool to be at peace while being their online.
A vpn is what helps you to stay secure and private.

There are numerous proxy sites available too but you are never sure about them.

Recently, i came across this blog which tells about how a vpn helps you to stay secure and also at the same time gives you access to content such as streaming channels and websites in your region if they are geo-restricted for some reason.

You can look at this guide which this review website has jotted down on How to use a VPN on Your Windows System

The guide is quite simple and easy to follow to get yourself secure.

I think everyone should have a look at it. May be it helps you for your purpose.

If you are accessing public Wifi, then it is best to use one. But if you're only at home, why bother? Just hope you don't live in a hacker filled neighborhood

I am interested in using a VPN. A few questions which I hope senpais can help. I am using Unifi.

1. Do we install the VPN on every PC/laptop and handheld devices, or over the router? Which is more preferred?

2. If I install over the router (DIR-850L), assuming it can be done, will I still be able to watch Hypptv?

3. I have two wireless printers connected to my WiFi. Will VPN inhibit the my printing?

currently using ExpressVPN.
Great for anon browsing because no DNS leaks whatsoever.
They use their own DNS server instead goes through your ISP.

I used IPVanishVPN, only slowed my connection by 20-25% on USA server.

Before, I used OpenVPN or SoftEther VPN with VPN Gate Plug-in. Slow but tolerable.

Most people have big internet data quota for their phone these days, so better to tether from your phone instead of using public wifi.
