My dad bought 2 blocks of fresh tuna from his fish supplier, said can make sashimi. But none of us have any idea on how to do that and not all go down to food poisoning. Anyone knows? icon_question.gif

I see, so basically the fish is 'clean' and safe to eat as it is?

actually depends where the fish come from ..
if the fish is not from the clean ocean .. better dont eat it raw ..

not all fish can eat raw ya ..

better check the source first ..

Hi there TS,

The safest way for sashimi is to freeze it first. 3-4 hours will do in the freezer to kill all the bacterias.

And then you can serve it up with wasabi and soy sauce. Standard procedure even by top japanese restaurants.
