yay, went to collect and apply clear coat. now setting up some stuff and try to finish work first lol

nope not really. it's a thin film that protects your phone from scratches. In fact it doesnt even cover until the very edge of the screen, but most like towards the 2mm from the side curves. I recommend clear coat for anti scratch, and casing to protect your phone

a short moment of using S8+ I notice something about the display. Mine has no red tint issue, and the color adjustment setting is already in, meaning that we are already on the latest firmware. Color shift on various angle seem to be a little obvious this generation. Not sure this is the clear coat or the screen itself, but generally it's still pretty okay for normal day use

With 28% battery left, i suppose this is consider very good? My note 3 would have died 2 hours ago

tough armor is the one with kickstand? mine as well, but it's cos it's not sticked on dead center. Mine only got pushed on one corner, and verifying the front clear coat it seem to be tilted. If they film is sticked at the absolute centre as it was intended to, it will not be pushed by the casing. I am going back to re-apply my front coat so that i can use my spigen

yeah, basically wake up today with 94% battery, was charging overnight and it stopped charging to protect the battery i suppose. after that very heavy usage with youtube etc, and also still configuring some stuff, listening song with loudspeaker for like 1 hour or so, played some games, and used waze for a short while. Overall, with this heavy usage, it's really good.

Also i should also mention, using GPS test, i get GPS accuracy with +-4m, crazy good GPS reception, and even indoors in top floor( not roof ), i can get decent lock as well.

For charging I actually notice something. I am running an app called ampere, and it is capable of detecting how fast your phone is charging. I tested using old n3 charger that go max up to 2.4A. When your screen is on, it will charge ar ~1A max, but turning off the screen will boost the charging speed to 1.8A. Maybe the same applies for wireless charging as well. I think this is a nice mechanism to prevent overheating when you're using it

BTW tested macro shot for s8, pretty impressed by the image quality
