I dont normally jump into arguments, but this is seriously getting out of hands. Almost 2 pages talking about which discount has more worth?
crazycrazymanobvious sees lower price as better option, since the price drop is compared against RRP, and for people that dont need the freebies, obviously lower price is better, and warranty is like insurance. some people think insurance is a must have, while some doesnt even have insurance and still feel ok about it.
I get what Velocity is saying about the feebies having values, and lemme quote something
Sure, but selling something that is probably RM199(or less ) worth of stuff at a RM399 RRP is also a gimmic. You calculations are all based on RRP, the price that no one would want to buy from samsung.
Also let's take S8 as example here, he gets 10% discount, which is RM300, in your case, you buy from RRP 3299, with freebies etc etc. He sells at 2.5k, I can bet the most you can sell also 2.8k, cos, let's look at the freebies. One clear SP, one clear case ( both offer almost no protection ), wireless charger( old model ), and additional one year warranty that by the time you sell is probably having one year left, and no more screen crack protection? So end of the day, you sell RM300 extra compared to him, but then again, he bought the phone Rm300 cheaper. It's basically the same right? Even if you sell slightly higher, 100 more compared to him, that's also a minor amount compared to the 'huge value' that you are talking about.
I see you also editing some part of your statement on the 3 years thing that Andrewtst talked about. Ok sure, nice cover there. But calling names and being rude is really uncalled for. If your statement is so solid in the first place, reply them with your thoughts and convince them, not calling them name and criticizing someone having poor math etc.
I believed you are a great person for willing to organize the clear coat discount sales for us, but I think i'll reconsider my opinion of you right now.
Hey bro, 100% agreed to your POV. I think it's a different people seeing different value in it. I was trying to be nice to people, respecting people opinions. I am a frequent phone changer since 2007, unlike Uncle Benny & Irenic, they've been changing phone even more crazier than me. I know the value or investment that they put in just to study these gadgets. Hence, i always respect their opinions and thoughts on the functionality of phones coming from different brands.crazycrazymanobvious sees lower price as better option, since the price drop is compared against RRP, and for people that dont need the freebies, obviously lower price is better, and warranty is like insurance. some people think insurance is a must have, while some doesnt even have insurance and still feel ok about it.
