I already read through the roadshow link before it was taken down. If I remember correctly, we only can get the free starter kit + 50% off PWP exclusively in roadshow. For the store purchasing, only powerbank will be given. Not sure why Star claimed that everyone can get the same deal even he/she miss the roadshow. Need to wait for SME official announcement to further confirm.

Yesterday i did notice someone posted the complaint in their FB. Not sure if it was you. But last night it seems they already removed that complaint, exactly around the time when they removed the roadshow link.

Agreed. If Star's report is true, then I am relieved. I already accpet the fact that I can't go to the roadshow for the good deal.I only can buy from the store. But now there's a hope. Haha.

Regarding the question of "duos" on the back, it seems that KLGadget guy posted a review last night. Assuming that SME set already ready in the store, then their unit could be the retail unit (not 100% sure though).

Indeed. Furthermore, this is also a good move to gain back the confidence and loyalty from the Samsung users. After the Note 7 fiasco, they need more people to buy the S8 to prove that their product is completely safe & reliable now. In order to do that, a great deal is a must to boost up the sales. Giving everyone the same deal could be be a very effective measure. Let's wait and see if Samsung is able to sort it out and make everyone happy in the end.

That's why we always say, when you do business, you sure can't satisfy everyone. Samsung upper management must be scratching their head right now and still figuring out how to make everyone happy.

Honestly, I don't think it's possible. They even put a very high price tag on their refurbished Note 7. Don't think they will be so generous on the Note 8 sales.

IINM, Samsung did say the stock of Gear VR & 360 is limited and based on first come first serve basic as well. So some people may go to queue up for the sake of the PWP deal.

No problem. Actually to think of it, if they also offer 50% off as well in Samsung stores, then I am afraid no one will go to their roadshow already.

But then at the same time, confirm out of stock very quickly in every stores, and then everyone who left out will be raging here and there. It's a double edge sword. So from business perspective, it won't be a wise move if they also offer the exact same thing in stores. However, from customer's point of view, I do hope they offer the same deal lah. LOL.

I didn't pre-order because it's not my original plan. Now my phone is having problem, so I decided to go for it and buy it from store. That's why I need to molest the phone in advance so that I can decide which color & which size to choose. As simple as that.

Even if one already pre-ordered, it's nothing wrong for one to go to see & touch the phone. As the matter of fact, I can noticed some pre-order owners in here already mentioned that they also want to see the phone first. Everyone has their own choice and it should not be bothered. So chill down bro.
