It's kind of expected since the stock just came in today and everything is still kelam kabut. I am sure more & more stores will have demo units either tomorrow or Sunday.

Guys, it seems that Taiwan set already received the update of fixing the red tint issue. After updating, you will find a new setting in the display menu where you can adjust the phone screen color to the warmest or the coolest, similar to the setting where you could find in Xiaomi, Asus and Huawei phones.

There's 2 levels of setting. One is the full screen, another one is the edges. So yes. Not only limited to full screen, you can also adjust the white color balance at the edges.

Just came back from KLCC. The stock came in today. But too bad there's power failure in the mall, so they can't set up the booth for the demo units. So, still no chance to get a hold of it. Damn! LOL

Ya. Comparing to S7 Edge accessories, S8 is cheaper. This time I may go for the LED Flip cover.

Just my 2 cents, from a note series user who planned to buy Note 8 but no choice have to go for S8 first because current phone is having issue.

Just a reminder for people who want to go to KLCC Samsung store and see the device. It seems the KLCC mall power failure is still unable to be resolved at the moment. So most likely tonight is a no go. Better wait for tomorrow or Labour day.

No worry. I purely want the leather skin. So LED life span is not that important for me. Just treat it as an extra feature will do.

I think the reason they are bashing is not because of they can't reach it easily, it's because of the very high chances of accidentally touching the camera sensor. IMO, no matter how weird the position (up or down/left or right), we will get used to it eventually. But it won't eliminate the fact that we still will be accidentally touching the camera from time to time.

No worry. Samsung would never do such thing when it comes to spec. They have the money and advantages (such as holding the right of being the first one to release SD 835 phone). No way they would be cheapskate on this matter.

The only problem they are lack of is the software upgrade. Although it's better now compared to the past, it still cannot keep up with other brands. Hopefully Samsung will improve in this area.

It's not that I am helping Samsung or defending for them...... Since when trade in is eligible to pre order? If it's available, Samsung would have mentioned it during the pre order campaign. But the fact is they didn't. Iinm, Samsung never offer trade in to the pre order. So that customer is actually not reasonable on this. He should have knew about the term & condition when he decided to pre order.

Which one is better, I don't care. Afterall, it's not something we can control. The most important thing in here is Samsung did inform the consumers about the difference before they sell it. They did mention the device would have 2 different processor for different markets. So how can you compare this with Huawei where they purposely hide the fact from the consumers that they are using different storage technology? I am not saying Samsung is better and superior than Huawei on every aspect. Huawei also has their advantages over other brands in certain field. But they certainly has spoited their image regarding the USF/emmc issue. That's the hardcore fact that we cannot deny.

Mind you that I am not trying to start a war in here. I am just stating the fact. Feel free if you want to debate, but please, at least you should provide some solid facts and proofs lah bro. Don't simply condemn just because you hate the brand. It won't do much good for you bro.

Inb4 someone labeled me as a fanboi. No. I would praise what it should be praised. But I would also condemn when it should be condemned. For example, the Note 7 fiasco. I condemn Samsung eventhough I love the brand very much. Each brand has its pros and cons. We can support them, but we can also critisize them so that they will improve further.

Guys. Everyone. We can discuss the pros and cons. Compare each other. No need to condemn each other and spread the hatreds. A healthy and mature discussion is what we need in here. Don't you guys think?

Not sure whether you can buy the extra warranty on the spot in the roadshow, but yes, you can buy it in any Samsung SC after you purchased the phone. But please rememeber, only can buy in Service Centre. Samsung store don't provide such service.

Now this one I don't understand. If one's screen is cracked, for sure the reasons would be caused by any of these 4 points above. So what kind of screen protection they are actually covering? The screen broke by itself?

I also have a friend (not very closed one) who works in Samsung. According to him, usually the staff price will be most likely 200-300 hundred ringgit discount. Not sure for S8 though since the official sales is not started yet.

Yes. But it depends on the staff. Some staff won't check too much. IINM, Uncle Benny did have similar experience where he brought his rooted device to SC and claimed his warranty successfully because the staff didn't even bother to check the phone software status.
