OK I got two warranty SMS from Samsung, both different IMEI numbers, one is mine the other is not..

Anyway to conclude my experience today. First time doing pre-order for a phone, normally buy it after few months the phone was released..

Positives:
1) Free grab ride to and from Gardens Mall to collect the S8.
2) Exchanging units until I found the one I'm satisfied with.
3) Gardens staffs was professional from manager to salesperson, they all looked happy to serve the customers. Basically they look genuine in helping you out lah.
a) Saw some of them applying screen protector, customer not happy ask can re-do it or not and they are willing to do it.
b) They do data transfer also, and this guy doesnt know how to backup so one of the staff do backup for all his apps and also do transfer. Took like 2-3 hours for the data transfer that fella.


Negatives:
1) Red-tint issue is real and affects at least 1/3 of devices.
2) clear case is not colour matched to our phones
3) no additional usb type-c that I swear I saw was offered on samsung's website.

Overall 8/10 experience, I'm satisfied and what I was initially unhappy is no more..
Was initially unhappy about 2 things:
1) you could get the device from Lazada and 11street and were cheaper by 100 (coupons)
2) lazada and 11st deliver one day earlier than those who PO from stores. (yes I was super jelly, been waiting for so long )

i saw on Youtube 0~100% took around 1h45min on average

yes bro, thats my whole point i choose to exchange and advocate others to exchange theirs if not happy with it and not take it as is and live with it..

My 2nd unit i exchanged right, software update didnt help + red slider at display settings is all the way to 0 + using *#15987# to set to -4 as well. Combination of all 3 of the above and still had red tint, most annoyingly its half and half red tint, not full screen red-tint which is very annoying when you look at it. IMO edges or full screen red-tint you can try to "live with it", but not half/half like the bottom phone in the picture..

so yeah, at least now my 4th unit everything is good at default, all the sliders value are at max, and *#15987# value is 0. So im not reducing one specific colour only to be buttfucked by another colour due to reducing too much of one colour..

come list down your CLO-CL1-GD3 values + phone model whether s8 or s8+.

i don't think red tint got to do with where it was manufactured as it seems 2/3 devices has some sort of red tint issue...

check properly if its cl0-cl1-gd3?

yes iris and face unlock method is VERY fast. Like underrated fast!

The difference is iris u gotta aim your eyes to the circle while face unlock just WORKS. Period. IT. JUST. WORKS.

Ive been spamming lock unlock playing with it constantly. Its just so much fun omg.

Btw cool trick guys, in AOD mode, instead of long press with pressure on the home button, you can double tap gently without pressure on the home button to unlock too!!

I find double tapping home button + face unlock is the best for me now.
