Hi,

Does anyone know what type of thumbdrive the PS2 can read with uLaunch? I need to copy some files frmo the thumbdrive to my memory card.I have few thumbdrives and some of them work and some don't... I want to get another thumbdrive but I am afraid my PS2 can't recognise it.

almost all usb drive can be used. Dont get that fancy-fancy usbdrive that have encryption etc...

to be safe, buy old model of any usb drive.

y mine cannot... i used a apacer pendrive 1g.. how does it detect?... last time i try using the old kingstone 512mb still cannot lol... still wondering how does it work on ps2 lol... and another thing i'm using the slim ps2 dont kno wat chipset it used.....

thats y...i use kingston 2GB cannot detect...i use 4 different portable drive cannot...i use sandisk 1GB can....

Maybe trying to use external USBD.IRX for uLaunchELF would work. But since there are lots of uLE update i assume the pendrive compatibility is higher. I still use old v3.87 and i use external usb driver for my uLE.

anyone tried using Kingston datatraveller 1 1GB... anyway u guys using action replay 2 transfer files 2 thumbdrives???

erm...i use the thumbdrive to transfer elf files to mc.... ....as for kingston data traveller 1 1GB, i assume tat since kingston data traveller 2 1gb works, urs should work as well?  .best is to try urself....

It depend on what do u want to transfer. U ask about transfering file from mem card to pendrive, so it is savegames rite? U can use Codebreaker and uLaunchELF for this. Like msn83235502 said...Codebreaker is faster and better than ARMax.

With uLE, u can transfer savegames directly from ur PC to mem card without using pendrive (thru LAN).

I personaly would choose uLaunchELF if it is other than savegames (mp3,jpg,avi,mpg...but not to mem card tho...  ). 

why not savegame with ulaunchelf? i'm using that until now...

i have fat ps2...
i boot ARMax, the plug the thumb drive (inside got codelist), but my ARMax din show anything of the codes... then i choose "My Device", can detect the thumbdrive but no codes detected, why???

1. CD Action Replay Max (semestinya). Bleh download kat sini. Action Replay Max

4. Software MaxDrive

Software MaxDrive ni gunanya utk download codes terbaru (codelist.bin). MaxDrive ni ada dua version. Satu utk US yakni NTSC dan satu lagi Europe yakni PAL. Aku ada dua² version sebab game² aku ada utk kedua² version. Tapi bleh install satu version ja utk satu masa (uninstall dulu kalo nak tukar version lain)
Download di sini:
MaxDrive US (NTSC)
MaxDrive EU (PAL)



Langkah-langkah:
1. Install MaxDrive.
2. Run MaxDrive. Download codelist (right click kat drive c: pastu click Download Codelist. Pastikan ada talian internet)
3. Unzip MaxSettings.
4. Copy codelist.bin yg dah didownload ke dalam folder MaxSettings(kalo dah download, dia ada kat \Program Files\Datel\MaxDrive PS2\Saves)
5. Rename file codelist.bin ke user_list.dat (aku guna properties plus utk tukar extention *.bin ke *.dat atau open codelist.bin dgn notepad pastu save as user_list.dat)
6. Copy folder MaxSettings ke dalam pendrive anda.
7. Masukkan pendrive tu ke port USB PS2. Mulakan CD Action Replay Max anda, pilih Expert Mode dan codes dalam pendrive anda akan ada di situ.

Kekadang 1st time load dia tak read lagi codes dari pendrive. Try reset PS2 atau pilih start game without codes. Codes dalam pendrive anda yakni codes yg latest ni akan menggantikan codes² yg sedia ada dalam CD. Kalo nak guna balik codes dalam CD, start ARM tanpa pendrive. Anda hanya bleh save satu version ja (NTSC @ PAL) dalam pendrive tu.

MaxDrive ni bleh gak kita guna utk download savegame dan copy ke memory kad anda. Kalo nak tau camna....mungkin di lain tutorial (kalo ada permintaan la yer).

Sekian saja sedikit info dari saya. Maafkan saya jika ada kekeliruan dalam info di atas. Aku ni lemah skit kalo nak terang² kat org ni.

I have downloaded a ps2 NCAA 08 roster into my thumb drive.
I want to copy this roster to my MC on my fat PS2 thru its USB port.
In all 8 yrs i hv my ps2 (with modchip but no idea wht kind), never use the USB port b4.
The roster file is in 3 format (.max, ,xps & ,xmem)> No idea what files format they r?
Can someone help me on how to tranfer to the MC.
Do i only need to buy Codebreaker from the shop? Is that all i need..?
I tried my GAMESHARK 2 disc i bough sometime back.. Did not work. Cannot see the thumb drive at all. Only reading fr CD in the Memory Manager.

normally i use ulaunchelf to copy the save files ......but i believe ARMAX can do the trick but as for CB/GS i am not too sure...sorry...

Where can i get ulaunchelf or ARMAX. Is it a disc i can get from any game shops?
Pls tell me, and is it very straight forward like loading the disc on PS2 and you can see the thumb drive?

ARMAX - when u launch u can go to a menu something call media memory or memory manager or something with memory name in it... then once launched u can c the contents of ur memory card as well as ur thumbdrive if u have inserted it....not very good at explaining it...sorry...

.max = AR MAX
.xps = X-ploder
.cbs = CodeBreaker

u need specific cheat application for specific type of game save.
but dont worry.. if u only have one type of cheat application, just download PS2 Saves Converter.. it can convert your saves to other format..

ive read the topics in this forum but none worked. my ps2 is the fat one with scph 50006. ive burned armax on cd and my ps2 can't even read the cd. can anybody help me?
