yup jamming sessions i stand. but gotta work on my wrist cuz when i play standing the guitar is lower than when i sit which is very high in comparison

Added on April 22, 2007, 6:33 pmalso when standing, is there a different approach to palm muting and strumming? since the guitar is lower/angled

Solution : Wear your strap up high so the guitar is at the same/almost the same angle as it is sitting down!
*
that'll be REALLY high like those jazz players? i mean because when i play sitting down i tend to hunch(trying to improve on that) and its pretty uncomfortable to play with a high strap..

it'll be cool if i could play like james hetfield.. can cheat also, hunch down and let your guitar hang tongue.gif but not good la. right now when i play standing up the top horn is slightly above my navel

QUOTE(sean392 @ Apr 22 2007, 10:04 PM)
yeah
i feel comfortable slinging it below my belly button
but need to pull the guitar up to play anything higher than the 20th fret on 3 to the 6th string
lol
*
at my height i can play, but not with my pinky at those positions..

man..page.. his hands are LONG. mine aren't that long so i can't play it that low..

i don't think anyone answered this, but is there a different approach to palm muting and strumming when playing standing up? when the guitar is angled a bit(kinda like classical position)
