QUOTE(Everdying @ Mar 16 2007, 05:20 AM) they're modelled after gibson's 490/498 combo. Thanks for the info by current gibson standards, they're nothing great, but still good. neck pu louder? uhhh then drop the neck pu height, increase bridge pu height etc. else, your bridge pu might not be wired properly, coil dying, pot dying etc. Then i guess i'll need a luthier to check on my guitar already and i am also considering whether to upgrade PU or not If i'll ever upgrade it will be Alnico 2 Pro This post has been edited by ^Hobbes^: Mar 16 2007, 01:53 PM |

QUOTE(^Hobbes^ @ Mar 16 2007, 01:51 PM) Thanks for the info btw, if you're ordering from musicians friend. Then i guess i'll need a luthier to check on my guitar already and i am also considering whether to upgrade PU or not If i'll ever upgrade it will be Alnico 2 Pro they have no such thing as export model, as they dont do that market in the first place. and sweelee does special orders for the epi valve junior. but of cos, the customary deposit is required, which they require 30%. not really.
since the pick is shorter, it just slides off the strings. not much tension between pick and strings, unlike that 1.00 regular tortex sized pick. |

QUOTE(sean392 @ Mar 16 2007, 03:43 PM) Haha, I switched from the Jazz III to the Tortex Jazz. I think the Tortex Jazz is just a wee bit bigger than the Jazz III. I prefer the Tortex Jazz because I find that the grip is better (the Jazz III tends to slip if I play for more than half-an-hour).Jazz III, especially the red one, is a bit too plasticky feeling for my taste... |
