Anyway, thinking of getting 2 Seymour Duncan SSL-2 vintage flat in the Neck and Middle position as well as a APST-1 twang banger in the Bridge for my crap strat.....

Going for something waaaaaaaaaay different from my Les Pauls and RR3.

hmm question. .. you guys prefer sharp edged V's or rounded ones like Gibson?

Normally I'd go for the sharp edges (My dream death is to die a guitar related death.... maybe stabbed in the head with an RR3 or Razorback), but common..... This is Zakk's guitar.... so I'll make an exception for this time!

i tried alot of DiMarzio Single coils. . . currently going on Duncan Quart Pounders, Blue Velvet and HS-3 DiMarzios. . . =D

I dislike the original Gibson Flying V style with rounded corners. Actually I don't really like Flying V... dunno why but I think it must have to do with the horn proportions.

Nope. bentley is the main distributor. Even if there are other places selling, Bentley still offers the better price.

And as for my tone, It's basically a piice of crap guitar, but it holds sentimental value as it's my first guitar. I figure I'll rip out the innards and upgrade the pickups, the tuners and maybe even buy a new trem for it.

I THINK it's a poplar wood body on a rosewood board..... Common.... I bought it like for RM500 last time. This was waaaaaaaaaaaaay back in when I was in Form 3. Kinda looking for a more classic Strat sound..... Not too high gain..... I'm actually going for a more SRV style tone.

owh if thats the case get the "Area" pups by dimarzio. . . its traditional vintage routed pups. . . with the hum and all. . . it captures the good ol' days sound. . . or texas specials by fender =D

the blue velvet is highly recommended by me for any position tho =D

i use it in the middle position and its really glassy and twangy like the good ol days =D

HS series are not bad too but of course they are 4 wire pups so may not be as classic as you want
