Do you know if your Internet router is getting a public IP that can be located in Internet or get a private IP assigned by your ISP like Maxis and Streamyx ?

If you can login into your router, check what is the WAN IP you get.

Then open your browser and go to ip2location.com or type "what is my ip" in google.
Compare the IP address shown in your browser vs the WAN IP address you see in your router.

If it is different, then you have a private IP where the port forwarding can only be done ISP exchange side. (which they won't do for you)
Therefore you are permanently NAT 3 unless your are able to request your ISP to give you a public IP instead.

It's not impossible that Streamyx gives private IP.

Router WAN IP of course will change from time to time because home users usually subscribe to dynamic IP package.
But does your router WAN IP matches the IP reported by ip2location.com or "what is my ip" Google query ?
IP address mismatch means 100% confirmed you are assigned a private IP address.

You get 1080p with the ps4 pro.
It looks better, but it doesn't solve the slight lag.
I'm using an ac66u with wired connection which isn't that much slower than your router.

sold my 3 years fat PS4 after 3 years of good service and upgrade to PRO, get to know VR will be better with PRO gonna try it

dial 100, lodge a kau-kau complain, tell them you can't access your home CCTV/baby monitor from outside due to the private IP

Call up your ISP to request for public IP.

Technically the games can be played regardless of region, but you cannot get any DLC in. If there's a specific DLC you want, you need to be in the same region the game disc is

My area hardly have any surge/Blackout so UPS is not needed. But if your area has that, then it's not a bad buy.

However I hate prolink as a brand. Cheap but unreliable/shoddy quality.

If it's a simple USB dongle, that'll be good.
Just plug and play among all platforms.
I heard the ps headphones might work with Xbox. But not sure if it's via the dongle or controller port.

and if your budget doesn't currently allow it, save some more then buy the pro.

at this point there's little to no reason to want to buy the slim.

I play on 40-inch tv (1080p) with PS4 Slim that I just bought recently, don't see anything wrong with it. And works very well for Monster Hunter World. I play most of my games on my gaming laptop and PS4 Slim fits my budget nicely, I don't need to pay anything extra for something that I might not use again after one or two games. lol. And honestly, majority of the people isn't trained enough to have the eyes to notice the differences.
