CS said it is a scheduled 2days maintenance to change the antenna by Maxis from 15 August. Extended 2days but still no news when they can complete the job. From 14 Aug, the internet was giving problems and have been using Digi BB.

Since January and this is the first time it is out for so long. I'm a light user (Waze, Spotify, Flipboard and messaging) generally it meets my needs. Places I go to is ok. Even up in Penang, BM or ETS train. Perhaps I'm lucky.

Can't confirm whether Maxis has problems with their 3G as they have 4G here. UMobile only 3G is available at my place. UMobile CS told me the maintenance is by Maxis. Previously when I was with Maxis they usually take 3days to repair their problems.

We, 6 out of 7 MNP from Maxis to U, decided that using U is risk, so we took the cheapest UMobile postpaid. 2 of us subscribe to Digi BB for backup. On the road, we all don't need much data more for phone calls and Spotify.

Day9, still no internet or make calls after scheduled of installation of new antenna. UMoblie CS said my house is now under poor coverage area, reply from their tech Dept, they will add another transmission in a few months time to boost coverage.

But unable to answer my question why I had no problems before the change of antenna. No choice but to port?
