Most people I know gets the offer letter the next working day, because usually once they sent you for medical they already have the offer letter ready, just holding for the medical result. But my case is different, I only receive news a week after, even after I emailed her asking about it. Considering you're being handled by the same person as me, I'm not sure. Maybe you get it today, maybe in a week. Contact her if you don't heard anything after a few days.
*
when i submit my report today, the HR who handle us was not in the office, so i submit the report to his / her colleague...hopefully nothing gone wrong...

They'll send you by email. If you agree you can pick it up the next day.

hi...may i know how many months does "months" means?
in my case....it's already been 2 months since i received my SI result.
the hr personal told me that the currently putting medical check up form on hold due to some reason that they not telling.
*
the "months" that you been looking for is variant, it does not have fix answer...some people only take 2 weeks, also we have people waiting for 2 month. In my case, it was 3 months...so, keep praying, follow up once a week (or once in 2 weeks)...

*

QUOTE(aiman04 @ Apr 5 2013, 09:20 PM)
Hi guys,

HR wants me to start on June 17 reporting straight to PIPE, but I want to start July 1. Is it possible to postpone the start date? Emailed and called HR but they're out of office though.

I know they do PIPE serveral sessions every year. But is PIPE mandatory before commencing the real work? Can I start working first and then attend PIPE later? The reason I ask is that if the answer is no, then I'll know I have no chance to postpone my start date, they won't postpone the PIPE just because of me (unless they do it every 2 weeks, doubtful).

Thanks.
They will email the result to HR on the spot, but the full report will be delivered physically to HR later. PETRONAS' internal doctor will review the full report and give final approval. Should the be no problem with you health, you'll get the offer letter the next working day or a week later, depending on the HR personnel that handles your employment.
*
probably because July is Ramadhan? there will no PIPE session on Ramadhan, right? might be the reason they want you to do the PIPE session earlier...

Hi there,
HR called me saying that she is waiting approval from my future-to-be boss,  general manager and CEO. Doesn't that mean it is very likely I will get the job?
My job scope main deals with documentation and data management. She also says that I need to attend medical check-up report at appointed hospital. My cholesterol is slightly higher above benchmark which my doctor said was okay early of this year. Will I not be given with this offer if my cholesterol is still at the current index? Kind of worried here, did not want the opportunity to slip away again.
*
my advice, you still have some time before they email you the medical check up letter. So, from now until your actual medical check up date, control your food intake, take healthy food (oat for breakfast etc) and do some exercise. you don't want to be like me, need to do another check up within time given due to high cholesterol.

So how much weight have you lost bro? Before the checkup (2-3 day) always check your blood pressure .... make sure they are stable also. And need to relax when you go for the medical checkup ... Rabbi Yassir Wala Tuassir .... calm and collected and your blood pressure will refelect that. No sugar, no fatty foods, eat Oats and no smoking ..... ohh BP is always higher in the afternoon I think, so try and do the med checkup in the morning.

Good Luck!
*
as for now, already lost around 8 kg...however, since last week been stuck at this weight, might be due to plateau...

QUOTE(^ejey^ @ Apr 24 2013, 09:09 AM)
For my case:

23 March 2013 (Friday 3:00pm)
====================
SI @ KLCC for Project Planner/Scheduler .
Result : KIV for different post.

5 April 2013 (Friday)
==============
Contacted(phone) by the Petronas, being offered different post (contract basis, not direct hire). They asked me if its able for me to join them on 16 May 2013. Since I hv to gv 1month-resignation-tender, so I politely discuss with them about any possibilities to register on 1st of June (it will be 2nd June @ Kerteh, working Sunday).

16 April 2013 (Tuesday)
================
Contacted(phone) by Petronas HR asking my current employment`s payslip. I emailed them immediately, and HR replied my email at 4:50pm written "Tq".

22 April 2013 (Monday)
===============
I called them asking the status, since Im waiting for their Offer Letter to be attached with the resignation letter and I need 1month-resignation-tender to be submitted on 30th April, next Tuesday. 1st May (Wed) will be the starting date of my resignation period. Petronas`s HR ("Ms.A") told me that the HR management will manage the offering prosess (salary/date of registration etc) as soon as possible probably this week and will contact me by phone.

Still patiently waiting for the official offer letter. Oh and before that, HR do mentioned about maybe somebody from her office will call me to discuss about salary.

Patiently waiting. It just 1 month since the SI session but it feels like AGES unsure.gif

err, you don't have to do any medical check up before they give you the offer letter?

Hi, Where are you from?

Like my case i just get informed by the petronas HR that ive passed my SI but then again the HR asked me to print screen on the declaration of releasing my cv at discoverpetronas.com as proof and email back to them in order to assist them in finalizing the position for employment pack approval.

Could anyone please advice and pls share who has experienced like above.

Does the placement is guaranteed ? Now getting worried caused I have resigned from my current company and hoping to join Petronas. huhuh.. rclxub.gif
*
like klein said, it's a bad move for you to resign just because HR said you already passed your SI...

my experience, i got a call from HR mention that i passed my SI, and they will proceed with placement last December...and i just manage to get the offer letter early this month...from calculation, it takes me 5 month to get the offer letter after I passed the SI...of course, during this period, there is so many obstacle happen, such as the document required didn't reach them, even though I already email them the document 5 time...another obstacle is i need to re-do my medical check up due to high cholesterol level, which take additional 5 weeks for me to control my diet...

is there any of you have experienced being interviewed from contract basis to permanent basis? can share with me notworthy.gif
*
i have the same experience, interviewed from contract basis to permanent basis. my first interview, which is TA is for the contract basis. from my understanding, once you passed the interview, you don't need to attend SI (correct me if i'm wrong), even the HR handle my application also said that. he also mention that if they want to offer to permanent basis, there will be another call for SI session. around 10 days after that, i got a call from HR to attend SI interview.

i will be start working with Petronas this coming July.

how was the interview? is it hard?  ohmy.gif

well, SI is not really hard compare to TA, of course it was separate into several section. as for my case, if i'm not mistaken, it was separate into 3 section. for experience candidate, they don't have to do role play. other than that, it was quite similar to fresh candidate interview.

i sorry i am not even step in petronas yet. so zero idea laugh.gif

TA stand for Technical Assessment, normally experience candidate will have this interview. for fresh candidate, they will have chit chat session (correct me if i'm wrong)

SI stand for Structure Interview. basically, this interview will be conduct by HR.

I did my pre employment med check up last week. The doc didn't tick at the "fit for employment" neither "not fit for employment". He just remark me with " fit if consider by health advisor". I have thyroid problem. Does this affect my employment? I'm afraid that i will be rejected sad.gif
*
once you submit your medical result to HR, they will review the result, if they found some irregularity, they will forward the result to Petronas health advisor, thus i'm not sure about your status. try follow up with the HR that handle your application next week.

not sure about thyroid problem, because last time my problem is consider minor (high cholesterol), thus i just need to re-take medical check up a month after that. with some exercise and control food intake, i manage to drop the cholesterol level from 6.04 to 4.7 (normal range is 5.2 and below)
