Hey guys, new owner here.

Location: KL/Selangor
Model: 1.3 Advance
Colour: Glittering Silver
Transmission: Auto

One thing I noticed about the 2017 Bezza update that the journos didn't mention - the passenger side sun visor now has a mirror on it. When I test drove the Advance before the update, it had no mirrors in the sun visors.

Hey guys, I'm having some trouble connecting my phone (running on Android 7.0) via MirrorLink. I've followed the instructions and enabled Developer Mode, etc. but when I plug it in and try to detect it always stops at the 2nd bar and says it can't connect with error code 0x64. It doesn't even install EasyConnect. Does anyone have a solution for this?

First inspection must be done within 1k-2k something. No need prepare anything, just go service centre to check, then they will replace new engine oil which is for 20,000km interval to replace new engine oil again.
*
The first inspection is due at 5,000km in mileage or 3 months, whichever comes first. You can refer to the service booklet for inspection and service intervals.

yup. as far as i know, bezza is 5k mileage or 3 months whichever comes first. just concerned of the hidden unnecessary cost that might pop up during the first inspection. anything to be aware of? haha
*
Not sure, I haven't reached 5,000 km/3 months yet. laugh.gif

My SA said the 1st inspection is free, so I wouldn't worry about needing to pay anything unless there's something that needs fixing.

Hi guys,

My Bezza seems to have taken a hit in my crappy, unlit outdoor office car park last night. cry.gif

http://imgur.com/a/6rH3S (this was taken under better lighting)

Some of the scratches look kinda deep, doesn't look like something a polish and buffer will fix. A plastic bolt also appears to have come off, so the edge of the bumper is a little loose. If it's just the bumper that's still somewhat okay, but I'm afraid the bit of the scratches might have reached the body as well.

Any advice?

Btw I noticed when night time driving and its very quiet, I can hear some light sound from the front wheel suspension when going over large speed bump slowly (<5km/h, more than that its hard to hear anything). The sound is very quiet that I have to turn off aircond fan and radio around me to hear it. Is this normal or is it suspension damage or something like that?

*
I had that sound for a while, sounded like it was coming from the front right suspension sometimes when going over a speed bump, up a ramp, etc. Just a single "tick" or two. I recall reading in earlier posts that it might have something to do with the dashboard seals but mine seems to have gone away by itself. :0

Onnnn a separate note, this has been happening for a while so I thought I'd get it checked with my 1st inspection coming up - whenever my air-cond is on, occasionally I get a mild whistling noise coming from the front for just like 1-2 seconds at a time. Seems to happen irregularly but I notice it when idling or in slow moving traffic. Sometimes after I turn the engine off it lets out a long whistle for a while before stopping (regulating the refrigerant gas pressure?). Any ideas?

I experienced this before but my speed was around 80.. i was gently pressing the brakes at that time... but after that everything is normal and i never face that issue since then
*
Experienced the exact same thing once before - was slowing down in a car park (around 20 km/h) when I felt some vibrations in the brake pedal with some accompanying rattling noises. Released the brake pedal and stepped again and it was gone (tiny pebbles that got stuck under the brake caliper maybe?). This only happened once.

On a separate note - made a long-distance trip between Klang Valley and JB recently. 34 psi on front and rear tyres. Felt competent enough getting up to highway speeds but as expected it runs out of breath at higher speeds (also it's not very downshift-happy, I guess the TCU's tuned to hold higher gears for as long as possible). Crosswinds and passing heavy vehicles are a bit of an issue though - you could really feel the sway, but I guess that's kinda expected for any lightweight car that's also relatively tall and narrow. Stock tyres were noisy. :c

Hello guys, my perodua bezza 1.3 premium having little rough noise and vibration when moving around 40- 60 km/h every time. After that its back to normal.

This is my first time to own a perodua car. When I checked  with Perodua during first Checking/Service and he mentioned its expected behavior when changing gear. (But its low rpm during the incident)

Do you guys encountered this or its normal behavior?  biggrin.gif
*
I've never experienced this. Could you explain in more detail? This doesn't sound normal.

Guys,

Still in dilema whether to choose Saga or Bezza.
From what i read, most of u only mention about Bezza FC.

Forget about Saga being a "Proton" car and Bezza is "Perodua".
Still both forum i read, Saga and Bezza user still facing problems with their cars.

So other than FC, why should i choose Bezza?

I haven't really faced any issues with the Bezza. Can't speak for the Saga since I don't own one but I did manage to try a rental for a couple days when I was travelling.

Bezza:
- The interior and dashboard is arguably better-looking and more modern. Plus you get a multimedia touchscreen head unit on the Advance variant which the Saga lacks.
- PVC leather seats. The Saga only has fabric IIRC.
- Like you mentioned, it has superior fuel economy and what is (probably) a more reliable and efficient engine from Toyota.
- The conventional torque converter automatic drives more predictably, so it's faster off the line.
- The boot is massive.

Saga:
- Handles much better and feels very planted. More suitable for long-distance drives. But the clutch-based CVT lag is noticeable and kinda annoying and takes some getting used to. It won't be as quick off the line as the Bezza but overall power output should be pretty similar.
- Better soundproofing - you can hear a lot of exterior noise in the Bezza.
- Rear seats are probably more comfortable than the Bezza's.

Going to make last decision on taking either bezza adv or the new myvi 1.5 adv?
*
Unless you absolutely need a sedan or the boot space, the new Myvi is pound-for-pound better value and outdoes the Bezza in every objective criteria.

Which is kinda disappointing for Bezza owners since the Myvi 1.5 (non-Advance variant) costs the exact same amount (or used to?) as the Bezza 1.3 Advance but is packed with all that kit.

anyone of you have complain from the rear seat passengers that the seats are too upstraight? We all knew bezza rear seat are comparatively more upstraight compare to other models though.
*
I've sad in the rear seats of a Bezza a couple times in a Grab. Tbh it's not as bad as many people make it out to be (many people probably complain about it through photos and have probably never tried it). The Axia has similar back seats but you don't really hear anyone complaining about it. That said, it does feel a little upright because the angle of the backseat to the bench is practically 90 degrees. However the bench itself isn't completely perpendicular to the ground - there's a slight inward tilt to it. Not sure if I'm explaining this right.

Hi , I got wissle sound from brake pedal area , it occur random with and without depressing the brake , sometime air-cond compressor kick in also got such sound , total random and occur when the car was fully warmed up , anyone know why?

Some sort air leaking sound from narrow gap , thus sound like wissle ,  sometime " vee vut " , sometime just "vee"

Fully stock car , no modified, 11k millage, once hit a pothole and bottomed out on the left.front side , not sure it occur before or after that .
*
I think I'm getting the same whistling noise but it sounds like it's related to the air-cond compressor since I only notice it when the compressor kicks in. Read from somewhere that it's got something to do with the Freon gas regulating in the air-conditioning unit, but you could check with the SC. If you get an answer let us know.

How do I pickup to overtake another car?

I last time want overtake lorry and hardly to overtake, it's slow and I almost accident because slow overtake and suddenly go in lorry lane because right lane got car stopped.

Premium x here.
*
One thing to take note of is that I'm pretty sure the TCU is tuned for fuel efficiency, so it's not very downshift-happy (gradually stepping down will cause it to try to hold high gears for as long as possible). This means you either need to quickly step down on the pedal to floor it to get it to downshift, or force a downshift by shifting to 3 or 2. Most importantly, drive safely - and overtake responsibly.

finally someone who has same air-cond sound with me

jump to 53s  and 2:12s

edited the time.

I have the exact same sound. Still haven't figured out exactly what it is yet, but I suspect it may be the air cond's freon gas regulating.

Let us know if you hear anything from the SC.

factory defaulted, cannot choose any color/model from sahara
i wonder also how good is the heat block, coz it is not really able to stand for long heat when parked the car..
*
The stock Sahara-X tint has pretty poor heat rejection. Doesn't bother me too much but I can understand why people would want to change it. It's more of a security film than a tint.
