Definitely a good deal, but the 390 coupon always ran out, although u keep pressing from 9.55 am. But is that the asia set ? Warranty under maxsoft ? Can directly send back to maxsoft ?
*
I got mine from there too with RM399 coupon on the 9/9 sales day, I consider it only comes with 1 game because the other game is "Troll and I".

You make a nintendo id and you can pick the region and change them at any time. Unlike PSN you need to make a new ID but Nintendo you can change it with a few click. But if there is some balance in wallet i think that will be gone. So most who buys from multiple region has multiple accounts for each region. Mostly I know has US and Japanese account. Some has EU as well. You can sign in a lot of accounts on one Switch and play all the games on it. Pretty handy.

Malaysia don't exist in Nintendo's world btw rofl
*
You can only connect to maximum of 8 accounts at once on a Switch to be exact.

8 account = 8 country is more than enough.
honestly i'll create US and JPN account first.

my GF juz gotten the switch for me. HKD 2380 = SGD417.80 = MYR1, 293.22!!!! with 1 free case and 1 free game (Mario Odyssey!!!)  rclxm9.gif  rclxm9.gif
the Mario Odyssey bundle edition is only at SGD515 after conversion, but went for normal console only as gotten the pro controller as well at SGD80  biggrin.gif

Yup, and we can switch region anytime for any account that has no credit inside. So I only have US and JPN account so far.

RM1300 for Switch + Mario Odyssey is really really cheap!!!!! rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

to purchase games on eshop, do i simply go into my account online and change my country to USA? then after purchase...change it back to Malaysia?
*
Yes, you can change to any region, and don't have to change it back to Malaysia.. You can also create multiple accounts for different regions.
Be sure to check out https://eshop-prices.com/ to find out the cheapest price for the game as different region has different price.
Also choose a tax free postcode when prompt.

Thanks for the feedback, when i change my account region to USA. i can't select Malaysia timezone, only America timezone.

After purchasing games using credit card, swap back the account from USA to Malaysia?
*
just checked my switch, my region is "The Americas" but my Date and Time > Time Zone is KL, don't think the region of the account has anything to do with the timezone of the Switch..

the region of account I was referring to is the region in https://accounts.nintendo.com/

Ya. I don't want to risk it, so no Netflix or Hulu for me (on the Switch) until there's a really good proposition for value.
BTW, 2nd hand games for Switch really difficult to get ka?
*
I usually get 2nd hand from FB group, there are quite some nintendo switch groups in FB.
But only COD, cause too many scammers on FB.

I see. Somewhat risky then. Furthermore I'm in Sabah, even further LOL.

How about first hand games (cartridges)? Where's a good place that accepts online credit card purchases?

Any recommendations for microsd?
*
I saw some Sabahan in the group too, I think they have their own switch group or whatsapp group, not too sure..

First hand game can try ATO online store or Impulse gaming, these are quite reputable shops that I known of.

The recommended MircoSD card is Sandisk Ultra spec, game loads slower on lower spec sd card, and some sd card even melted in the switch sweat.gif

yea the switch gets really hot when docked, I guess its just luck when the SD card melted in that guy's switch.

I heard the switch version of Sandisk SD card has anti-heat coating, not sure how true is that though.

new owner of Switch here. since there's no e-shop for malaysia and/or singapore, which account region should i use? for instance, my copy of xenoblade 2 states that its was designated (?) for UAE, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Singapore. would the DLC downloaded from e-shop US works with this?

i do know that switch is not region-lock, but this is coming from someone who own playstation console where i need to download DLC from the same region as the game itself. thanks.
*
you can have up to 12 accounts in a Switch, each with different regions, but usually people will have 2, 1 for US and 1 for Japan. Mainly because US and Japan region sometimes have different games, some game release first on US before JPN, and some on JPN only. As for the DLCs, i think if you have the UAE version, US's DLC should work, if you have the Japan version, you need Japan DLC, not too sure though as I don't have Xenobalde.,

Dropping by the switch thread for some biased opinion
Currently in a dilemma in whether to jump the gun and get myself one. So, I'm hoping to hear some feedback from you guys.

Which game made you guys went ahead and bought the device? After finishing the game, did you manage to find anything else interesting to play?

I own a PS4, so the main reason for me to get the Switch is the switch exclusive titles and portability. As of now, the only games that has my attention now is BotW, Pokken and maybe Stardew Valley. I don't think I'll enjoy 3D platform games like Super Mario Odyssey or Splatoon 2 (both are highly rated on the Switch). I'm just worried that once I have it and completed 1-2 games, the Switch will be collecting dust at a corner given that the functionality is pretty much limited to gaming. Please advise, thanks!!!
*
I bought it because of Overcooked (gf loves it) and because of its portability, I chose Switch over PS4. My bundle comes with Splatoon 2, which I never played before, but soon addicted to the game so much.
But after getting Zelda BoTW, my splatoon 2 is collecting dust now, soon will go back to Splatoon 2 after finish completing Zelda. Never regret getting the Switch.

Hi

I tried it with the US account but ZIP code is required for tax purpose. If this is the case what should we provide for the ZIP code, any idea?

Google for US Tax Free Zip code, use those then you are fine.
