QUOTE(sonicbull @ May 16 2017, 10:48 PM) Natsume announced Harvest Moon will be in switch for its 20th anniversary game. Harvest Moon game is no longer the original Harvest Moon.. it's now made by Natsume..Is harvest moon huge? I played snes version long long ago. I know stardew valley which is based on this is popular. The original creator Yasuhiro Wada does the game still which is called Story of Season's now. Harvest Moon nowadays is more like minecraft blocky farming rather than the original. So if you're looking for some real Harvest Moon game, it's called Story of Seasons now. Here's the list for Original one.. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Story_of_Seasons_(series) And also Natsume's https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvest_Moon_(Natsume_series) Forgot to mention. Story of Seasons is also coming to Switch, but no date or anything yet. Confirmed back in January http://gematsu.com/2017/01/story-seasons-s...s-coming-switch This post has been edited by Rei7: May 17 2017, 01:13 AM |

Atm no really in need of one since i'm happy just using the joycon and grip for tv mode just for Mk8 multiplayers with the lads here. And most of the time i'm just playing in handheld mode, my most prefered mode.
Also who else hyped about Arms, the direct is pretty good, and all future dlc's being free makes it more attractive, reminds me of the first Splatoon game with lots of free updates. |

QUOTE(nill @ May 18 2017, 09:07 PM) Hopefully they don't do the same trick with Mario Maker and Splatoon, locking content to force everyone to play at a slower pace.... Nope. They will definitely do that. Locking content is intended and fine. It makes me enjoy the game longer. So I don't see the issue, it's just accesories and some weapons. It makes people look forward to new stuff coming up, and they release new one's every week. Works fine for me. Makes the game more fun in a competitive way as well, since new weapons are out and people aren't used to it yet and etc. I don't see the issue. Not all weapons are locked either cuz some are new and you need to download it anyway. |

QUOTE(nill @ May 19 2017, 11:50 PM) For Splatoon, they limit the maps you can access. I've played Splatoon since launch and there was never a map lock lol. All new maps which is not available on disk are not lock just like i said. Maps are on rotation but never locked unlike gears and weapons, which isn't a big deal. There were many options since he start, you're talking to me like you never even played it and just reading some complains. For Mario Maker, they limit the tools that you can use to design courses. I know it's not permanent. It's bad when it's applied to a game with an online component and paired with the upcoming mandatory Nintendo Online subscription. For example, try to apply that to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Limit 4 racing course to one week and replace it with 4 other racing course every week. Then add a Online subscription. Your game feels longer although it's repetitive and you have no freedom in your $60 game. That's how I will attempt to get the most of my customers. Hopefully no one is that insane. Idk what jibberish things ur saying. Mario Kart in the first place never had such unlock stuff besides kart parts and cars. And you're speaking like Nintendo did all that and gave the worse example when they never did such things.Literally no one has a problem with Splatoon, it just makes things more interesting and last longer. As for Mario Maker it is how they decide it's going to be. 9 days content lock and you still have a ton of things to create with no biggie. So unlocking stuff this days also need to complain ke lmao. Then you don't buy la if you don't like easy choice. Every freaking thing is free, or do you want them to follow Capcom? Paying full price for Street Fighter V yet need to unlock a character or map requires you to play forever just to unlock a single character, if not happy pay for the dlc with money. Splatoon and Mario Maker is also community driven type of game which has Splatfest, daily gears selection on shop, miiverse art, community creation and leaderboard. This are all community driven type of feature in the game, unlike Mario Kart which is pretty closed. Weekly and monthly updates. Japan people hype about Splatoon for the whole year till the last day of Splatfest which decided how Splatoon 2 story is even. The community is really strong, and they made the right decision. Every week people look forward for new weapons to use, and new gears that gives different stats and skills. You complain like you never even bought the game. Because those who did pretty much love the Splatoon idea of having content released weekly. Mario Maker yeah maybe 9 day lock is a bit long, if you wanna use other tools, but still it's not totally lock if you play other people's level creation. Much community driven. If i wanna complain about stuff it would be Nintendo removing miiverse, that's a big lost in the community there. All the lovely arts that people draw and stuff and all those cool selfies from Zelda Wind Waker and etc that people can share no more of that. QUOTE(sonicbull @ May 20 2017, 06:41 PM) Splatoon madness begins before game launch. I bet the empty box art ppl will still buy. Hoping Nintendo online pay is less than usd30/year. Splatoon is a big thing in Japan, they really love it more than Western at least.will love to get the joycon or pouch accessories, not official ones also ok Last time i saw Nintendo mentioning how much it's gonna cost for online subs in Japan. It was around 25usd after conversion annually, and like PSN and Xbox online sub, you'll get free games from Nintendo as well. Most like just virtual console game. QUOTE(Silderer @ May 24 2017, 03:13 AM) Greetings, I would like recommendations on where to purchase a Switch console, I am based in Penang and I have 2 other friends looking to purchase them as well. Not really interested in forced bundles, which is what most of my local stores are doing, hence why I am asking here Would suggest to look in this forum's garage sale as well. There is a few selling new and used unit cheaper than the forced bundle. |

QUOTE(kukur0 @ May 24 2017, 07:53 PM) I've read online that pc monitor has issues. And most are getting the same problem as well.Try not to dock it and use handheld mode. Then restart the system. After done go to settings>tv mode>pick 1080p. Then dock it and see if it works. Not sure if it works for everyone but some say it works. |

QUOTE(0300078 @ May 25 2017, 04:56 PM) knowing how shitty nintendo do business most likely they gonna release an update to block use of thirdparty controller. If can i wish my ps4 controller can work on my switch. Dont think of buying the super expensive Pro controller which cost RM100++ more than a ps4 controller. Nah, back on Wii they allow all 3rd party controllers just fine. |

Yeah the real context of it is not about the game, if it do well they will support the Switch, that's not what they were saying.
Pretty sure they know how well Monster Hunter will sell if it comes over the Switch anyway. They just have to make 5 instead of X which is kinda meh. |

Also it might be an excuse to not bring Monster Hunter to Switch? If that's what they plan to do la..
Release SF2 just so they could make an excuse to not bring Monster Hunter to Switch cuz of poor sales.. Rather than saying they had a deal with Sony.. Cuz rumours of MH5 game coming to PS4 instead. Kinda dumb still all their Monster Hunter fanbase on Nintendo.. It's a 23 year old game with some lazy new content with a high price tag.. Pretty sure they aren't that dumb. |
