Please run software updates to update your Mac OS to 10.4.9

there's new updates like Quick Time 7.1.5, iTunes 7.1, AirPort Extreme Update 2007-002, iPhoto Update as well

finally, 10.4.9 is out.. hope it fixe alot of bugs.. and improve OpenGL

but i dont think that's apple's style.....

i am quite hesitant to install this.....

everytime i update a major update (from 10.4.5-10.4.6, up until 10.4.8), i alwaya have problems with my macbook.....mostly airport and isight problems.....

i install on my pb12 1.5 already. no probs.

The wireless N update is available at the Apple Store section. You have to buy it, only for C2D Mac.

Me jz finished downloading all the updates and now on 10.4.9. So far so good!

Just wanted to check - are software updates different for different machines? The 10.4.9 update for the MBP I downloaded was 163MB (or thereabouts) but when I did the download for my friend's MB, it was about 90++MB.

The iPhoto update was the same, if i'm not mistaken at 7.3MB

I also have this problem on my mac mini after upgrade but.. after I disable Shapeshifter then it ok liaw..

My display's brightness was set to minimum after I installed the updates and kept on doing so at every startup despite numerous attempts on my part to set it to my preferred brightness. I was just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem.

Alert to those that with older machines. there seems to be some negative report on this update.

i have this problem even before i install the update. since u say so, i just remove shapeshifter. hope no more problem now onwards. could anyone guide me how to remove it? just to make sure i did it correctly.
btw, i hope there'll b free upgrade for those who bought within 3 months prior the launching of leapord.

i think it should be ok ..try check with the shop you bought the machine ..
