just want to ask.

How do I know when to pay my balance on my credit card. let say I made a transaction on 1, 13, 15, 16th of the month. will cimb accumulate all transactions so that I will have a total amount due at end of month (28th), or I need to pay right after the transaction was made?

Thanks. I'm new to credit card

highlighted BLUE. that's the whole point of having monthly statement, similar to mobile postpaid bill: use first, then pay the bill later.

above screenshot: refer to your statement and observe the key info in page 1.

here's a simple illustration on the spending period, bill date, and payment due date. below example is based on bill date 24th, but CIMB CR's is mostly on 28th.

Finally as it is irritating in CIMBClicks:

Discontinuation of TAC on Mobile

I don't quite understand why they abolish TAC on mobile, it is quite convenient since the TAC can still be obtained if one make a transaction overseas ie cannot be in roaming mode for their handset. The problem is not really TAC on mobile, the problem is the web designer should put TAC on SMS o default for every transaction to be made via cimbclicks as users of TAC on mobile are not widespread.

hi can someone confirm that 11st is considered as retail transactions for cash rebate?

I have made rm30 transaction last month for 11st and rebate credited was 0.2%, meanwhile Uber and grab transactions were all given 5% rebate, so appreciate any advise from sifus here. thanks smile.gif

Cannot be.

11street should be online/e-commerce.

What is your description?

Mine is: 11STREET-ECOMAccountNameKUALA LUMPUR MY
*
yup, that's correct.

In my recent transaction for this month, I have been credited RM0.06 (other retail) and all my transaction for the past month were all online (grab/uber/11st) and this RM0.06/0.2%=rm30 which tally to my 11st purchase.

am I being cut short for the rebate? what should I do now, should I email dispute on the matter.

Thanks

Hmm. I saw debit and credit RM 30 for the 11 Street or did I misunderstand anything?
*
that one is because I paid from my savings account to the credit card.

I usually pay my credit card right after making purchases.

Up until last month that I know from fellow forumers here that I only need to pay after receive statement on 28th, I stop doing so.

Yes, Grab has cash back now. Just like previously which used to entitle for cash back.
Anyway, it has 1% border charges fees, I still stick to my YOLO and AmEx for Grab.
*
hi what do you mean by 1% border charges fees, from my GRAB statement, all amount that been charged to my credit card is same as the grab receipt.

let say I took a ride for RM7, it charged my card RM7 too. unlike Uber, what's been charged to my card is different from what appears on my receipt. 1% extra charge appears on my cc statement for Uber. That's why I have stop using my credit card for UBER ride. I'm using my debit card only for Uber starting early this month.

hi, are we allowed to carry forward the cash rebate for next month statement.

Let say we got rm30 rebate for month 1, then we didn't use it to offset payment for month 2 statement, will it be carry forward?

and if let say, I didn't use it to offset month 2 statement and in month 2 I got another rm30 cash rebate. Will it appear as rm60 rebate in month 3?

Thanks.

Appreciate assistance here.

it's a vicious cycle!! laugh.gif

I got nothing to buy with the card anyway.

for high value item, can use YOLO. low value, pbb quantum or vs.

problem now is Lazada slowly transitioning to hellopay, still problematic for some cards to honor online cb.
*
so we just need to wait and see whether Lazada still eligible as online spending since the transition to Hellopay. I was quite flustered yesterday to realise that the payment channel is Hellopay, anyways just wait and see in the next statement, whether it is still eligible for cash rebate. smile.gif

If not, might as well change the way I spend on Lazada. smile.gif

Auto-debit only for specific merchants, refer to first post, Astro is not in.

Yes, manual payment will get cash back.
*
Hi,
When you say manual/online payment for ASTRO means we need to pay through ASTRO web page right?

Thanks.

Just needed a confirmation from you. smile.gif

I just used the Lazada prepaid card and spend rm170.15 on Lazada last month on the Lazada apps. And as recent transaction came, the cash rebate was regarded as cash rebate other retails at 0.5% and not 15%.

I don't know why, any idea where I can dispute this matter?

Those who impacted on Lazada issue, none of u report to BNM? Their Tnc clearly stated for online purchase, n Lazada is an online platform, no matter how, they need to fix their system n grant 5% cashback.. just wonder why no ppl report it.. maybe the amount is too little for them to do this?

I have just called and CS said that my transaction falls under POSMODE00 instead of POSMODE81 as other retail and I was given 0.5% for these transactions. And that 15% bonus cash rebate will be rebated on my next statement by CIMB. According to her that 0.5% is given by Lazada as a merchant and another bonus 15% will be given in my next statement by CIMB which is around 25th August.

I manage to get the MCC code, it 5694 according to her. I was quite shock as usually the cash rebate will appear on latest transactions but this prepaid card is abnormal. She just tell me to monitor my recent transaction however.

According to her, as long as it appears in the acc as LAZADA KUALA LUMPUR MY, CIMB will grant the 15 bonus cash rebate. Not entirely sure when though.

How do I email CRU/BNM? Care to share?
