QUOTE(idoblu @ Sep 15 2017, 09:38 PM) Based on my usage, of multiple transaction of 3 different currencies span across 1-2 years, it will be 2%, for cimb cash rebate master card. Can refer thread above, better info. I don't know what is reasonable, but some banks could be lower. I used uob few times, which is higher. |

QUOTE(kisa @ Oct 2 2017, 11:27 PM) Just want to ask, the cashback rebate breakdown is self calculate? my estatement doesn't have the breakdown. so how would I know whether I got the 5% or 0.2% CR? for the 0.2% the transaction description is CASH REBATE OTHER RETAILfor 5% and 2% it will show as CASH REBATE in any case, for truly tallying, you need to do it yourself. the easy way is, if only CASH REBATE, means all either 5% or 2% lo. |

QUOTE(mamamia @ Oct 11 2017, 08:03 AM) No matter how must give a lesson to them.. so that at least other bank won’t follow.. I still feel that the likes of us in the forum, are a minority of the entire population of cimb cr owners. Anyway, that aside, this card has always been annoying due to the cross border transaction fee. there is a better option, which is public bank and uob for those who can spend above 800. Maybe they won’t revised the benefit but come out new product after that been wanting to cancel this card ever since they removed the eraman duty free discount. no reason to really keep this card now. |

QUOTE(christcwl9 @ Oct 29 2017, 05:01 PM) I called again and argued and they said to me they will try to waive the financial charge on me as it is my first time. Do you think what they are saying is true ?? Can the financial charge really be waived? Don't worry. I have done it a few times. I do recommend switching to other cards if you can since benefits being cut and really the cashback is getting more annoying. |

QUOTE(MGM @ Nov 6 2017, 05:36 PM) That is what I did and CS said ok but i need to make payment for outstanding transactions first and she will proceed to cancel my card, no offers at all. Haven't been using the card for the last six months except last week, could this be d reason? These offers may vary depending on their internal policy. anyway, i cancelled mine this afternoon, no offer was given. then again, i did get the offer few months back when i wanted to cancel.so ya, bye bye for real to cimb cash rebate. |
