yes this card is next to useless now. just cancel it

CIMB Bank should retain their 5% cash rebates for online spending instead of cancelled it. Not sure why they made this decision.

my card now showed negative balance because of the cash rebate . and I have stopped using the card

apart from offering 15+15.
they offer me a permanent credit limit increase 2x current limit.

but too bad my pbb card is ady on its way..

I got the same reply 2 months ago when my purchase with traveloka online did not earn 5% cash back.
They tell me chill and check again in 1 month time.

After 1 mth no cash back yet.
Called them.

This time they change their version of story and tell me all sorts of old grandma story,
they say traveloka post the transaction offline so i am not entitled for cash back.

I ask them when i made the payment i DID ENTER a mastercard secure pin using SMS, so how could it be using offline?

They say according to their system its offline.
They even suggested me to call traveloka to claim the cash back.  
Best suggestion if you are holding this card.
1) Call them tell them you want to cancel the card. Tell them to cancel right away.
2) 99.99% they will offer you RM15 instant rebate + RM15 when you use RM200 on the card.
3) Call them again to cancel this card for real after receiving 15+15.
4) Apply for other alternative card that offer same 5% online rebate.
