he is using the omni directional antenna, not the yagi type, so no need to point
*
I am using omni directional too. Trust me, it need to tune for best spot. I used since maxis unlimited era. The same location without tuning, the signal strength can drop from 90% to 20%.
the diamond shape need to place indoor or outdoor? my antenna also put inside my store now, perhaps need to test again
*
I put outside. I just retune my antenna to suit digi two ago. It was tuned for maxis.

*Share some info to you guys.
My modem without external antenna, it was 64% signal. Simply plug in the antenna without tuning, it went to 74%. Found the angle to face the antenna, it boost to 93%. 93% the ping was only 11ms.
Althought only few degrees of angle change, the result could be very different. I took nearly 2.5hr just to tune the antenna. (In between i made it worse to 23%)

Tp-link good at handling 4g signal?
As i said I experienced buffering youtube despite 14M, dono my huawei mifi or just my area
*
I didn't use TPlink modem. It is just a router.
I use E3372.
I don't prefer mifi solution, because stability not so good as usb modem.

Never ever support speed capping... if telco can't commit don't offer infinite big big promo. Umobile 98 worst capped at 1.5mbps... can't even YouTube 720p... bullshit
*
Sorry to say, there is not way to control or stop the peoples moving from here to there. This is the biggest challenge for telco to assign bandwidth for a mobile network.
If like you said, telco don't commit to offer unlimited plan if they are not afford. Then we may stuck limited quota plan forever. Because no telco willing to invest double or triple bandwidth to support it.

I am not supporting capping, i wish for a cheap and best plan too. But reality is ifyou want enjoy unlimited without or least interrupt/congestion. There are only 2 ways, either by soft capping/traffic shaping or assign a fixed speed plan.

So safe to say that high end phone gives better out put?
*
No, all depend on modem and antenna design. This is not something can depend on price but the engineering work.

I hope Celcom introduce the plan way better than Digi. So that users can port out of Digi to Celcom and freed up the network.
*
If celcom release something unlimited like digi infinite, i don't see any "better" plan to compare because unlimited is already maximum.
User only can compare to price and coverage.
Maybe they can improve addon to counter like bundle with device, cheaper sub line....

There should be some differentiation to make their promotion more appealing, else it will be difficult to force the users to migrate from their existing plans. Currently all major telcos are in the midst of re-assigning their spectrum, so not sure this can be used as a key differentiator since we may encounter some problems with the network within our respective telcos.

Maybe, a cheaper unlimited package with higher speed cap (10Mbps) and unlimited tethering (for 1 or 2 devices) with unlimited calls and SMS will entice some of us eh?
*
Actually i am looking for something plan like this:
Unlimited data for RM150, but 2nd sim for 50%. So 2 lines will be around RM225 or each equal to RM112.5.
Or sign phone with 24months contract (this is advantage for telco), and customer rewarded for the commitment.

Or else celcom cannot give me any power to change as you said.

bright side is none of us who are on Infinite 80/150 will bother with this. tongue.gif
*
If this plan release one year ago, it should able to counter maxis share.
But release now, it can only attract its own customers' base (sub line to their family).

I was expecting some unlimited plan like digi infinite, but understandable they do not kill its sister companies (webe&tm). Without celcom support, it will be very hard to force maxis join the war.

should not let tm monipoly the market huh...

I am glad there is digi infinite as alternative now. But without other telco join the war, there is no improvement. And the digi is the only choice, i will see congestion come soon or later. That time maybe maintain 10m or below at most areas.

Just like infinite 80 and forced you take few hotspot pass.
Maybe regret infinite 80 is too cheap, want generate more revenue from it.

I think this is Digi issues. Digi never admit is their problem. They should check on the Youtube portion whether they limit the steaming to only 480p instead of 720p. If yes, they should only limit to Infinite users and not the normal Digi users only.
*
Digi didn't limit the youtube. More like technical issue. If i use IDM to download it. It went full speed.

Hmm... No idea. I tried Maxis 4G. All devices, equipment and settings are the same. No issue on Maxis. Only Digi has this YouTube issue.  hmm.gif
*
I purposely test with youtube again. 1080 without buffering at all, and the loading speed is 2.5x faster than playing time(my house has stable 35m).
I set to google dns. Not sure is this the reason.
I quite confirm digi didnt limit youtube but most probably is technical error.

Oh, ty for the extra tips. Hope the price wont too expensive hehe. Btw, will it work flowless if connected by multiple devices?

My home usually 5 phone and 1pc.

You need good router/AP for sharing more devices.
Find some router models which support rooter firmware.
But less than 10 devices, most routers will do.
