few years ago preorder for iphone 4s at celcom with same situation like u mentioned, celcom center promised won't be penalty....but when i received bills there is rm500 penalty on it....go back to the celcom center and the manager help me waived my penalty in next bill...but then my line get barred suddenly and when i called celcom hotline just find out i was being charged for the rm500 penalty again....i argue that the celcom center manager oledi waived my penalty and reassured there is no need of penalty because my contract was around 7 days earlier only and shall extend to another 24 months contract for the iphone 4s.

have to go back to the celcom center again to lodge report and get waiver of the penalty fee rm500 and unbarred my line. so after that unhappy experience...i have ported out my celcom line when 24 months contract expired and totally dissapointed with celcom for the hassle.

anyone here got the telco pre-order offer? Like the package plan from Digi?
i'm wondering what is the package from telco like Digi or Maxis...or should i just buy direct from SME....

For Telco confirm got trade in? Because I try to browse digi website but basically nothing except just a notice about pre order... thanks !

if you want to trade in I suggest wait for ready stock on 5th May coz many outside shops taking trade-in value at higher price

Well, if you think there will be discounts by other retailers after official release and not interested in the free gift, then it makes sense to wait.

In my case, bought Z5 officially with Sony but days later, gemfive offered rm300-400 discount.

S8 prices are cheap relative to rest of world though so not sure how much margin there is to slash prices

Just put it this way.. If pre-ordered can get the phone on 21st April, then different story. In fact, that's only a day earlier which makes no difference at all
