Do not use Forceum tyres, it degrades faster than you can say what happened?

Saw a lot of this tyre, guess they got it for very cheap price.

Been using Michelin Pilot Super Sport 225-45-R18 since May 2013. Excellent wet and dry grip especially when taking corners at high speed. Stopping power and braking distance is also very good.

I only have 2 problems:

1) tyres are noisy
2) Price >1100 per tyre

If i were to replace, what cheaper option is there in the market with the same performance but lesser tyre noise and cheaper price?
*
lesser noise and cheaper tyre, you can get Bridgestone Turanza, Michelin Primacy 3 ST, Continental MC 5, Hankook S1 Noble 2 or Goodyear F1 Asymmetric 2. but these tyre grips won't be as good as your current tyre. high performance tyre, like the current one that you use, excel at grips performance at the expense of comforts.

Yes which tyre is the closest to my PSS? The ones you mentioned are mostly comfort based tyres except for the Assy 2.
*
closes would be Asymmetric 2.
The latest Turanza and S1 Noble 2 is still too new, not much feedback yet. 3 ST and MC5 gives good grips and comfort. unless your driving is like race driver, all these tyres would perform adequately for silent and good grip, just don't expect the grip like your current tyre.

Hi, this is first time to me to change tire for a car.
Currently using stock persona and the tire date is 5010 which is already 3 years. Is it safe to continue to use it?
By the way, can recommend me model tire,
Current size 195/60/15. wanna change to 205/60/15 if exist. I want to grip in wet and dry also not so noisy during cruise.
*
3 years only, tyre still safe for usage. but important is still have how much thread? as long as still far away from threadwear indicator then it's still safe to use

Guys, am I safe to say that performance and safety, Michelin Pilot Sport 3 are miles ahead of Continental MaxContact 5?

Looking for 195/50/16 but PS3 doesn't have this size...
*
I wouldn't say miles better, just have slight edge. MC5 still give good grip and accepted comfort.

Why don't u change to 205/45/16 size? You'll have more choices of tyre.

Stock tyres are 175/60/15

I'm afraid that 205 will make steering "heavy" and give high fuel consumption sad.gif
*
Wah! So small the tyre width? What car is this?
Actually if don't want to affect car performance, advisable to only go up 10mm, means if you using 16" now, can use 185/50/16. But I think this size even harder to find. If not then go for 185/55/16. Bigger 3% than original size.

How's the Goodyear Assy 2 vs Michelin Pilot Super Sport in terms of performance and pricing? Im on 225-45-R18
*
Performance wise both almost the same, but heard some say PSS performance is better a bit. Pricing wise Assy2 would be cheaper a lot than PSS.

Actually compared to both these tyres, the Yokohama Advan Sport V105 is quite a good tyre from the reviews and ratings ive seen. Wet & dry grip same as Michelin PSS but at about RM380 cheaper per tyre.

I do feel that you actually have made selection in your mind earlier. It's settled then.

Guys.
Appreciate your review.

Currently using conti cp2 195/50/16.
Need to change new tyres. Some recommend potenza re003 bridgestone 205/45/16. Some recommend toyo drb 195/50/16.

Which one is better? Anyone knows pricing range for both tyres? Or any other suggestion?

I prefer comfort and low noise. Grip for dry/wet. Sometime like to take corner as well.
*
RE003 would be better.

Any comfort and silent tyre recommend for R14"? Currently using 185/65/R14 dunlop ENASAVE for front and bridgestone SNEAKERS for rear.
*
The size you're using only have comfort type. So yeah, all brands about the same comfort. Just look for big/known brand, I would suggest to avoid Silverstone since their tyre is noisy and Goodyear because these sizes their tyre easy to buldging on the sidewall. Don't look for cheap unknown brand since price with major brand is not much different.
