Guys, am I safe to say that performance and safety, Michelin Pilot Sport 3 are miles ahead of Continental MaxContact 5?
Looking for 195/50/16 but PS3 doesn't have this size...

QUOTE(xxboxx @ May 7 2014, 09:14 PM) I wouldn't say miles better, just have slight edge. MC5 still give good grip and accepted comfort. Stock tyres are 175/60/15Why don't u change to 205/45/16 size? You'll have more choices of tyre. I'm afraid that 205 will make steering "heavy" and give high fuel consumption |

QUOTE(xxboxx @ May 7 2014, 11:33 PM) Wah! So small the tyre width? What car is this? New Honda City E specActually if don't want to affect car performance, advisable to only go up 10mm, means if you using 16" now, can use 185/50/16. But I think this size even harder to find. If not then go for 185/55/16. Bigger 3% than original size. V (full) spec is running on 185/55/16 |

QUOTE(kons @ May 14 2014, 08:17 AM) Fuel consumption will not be that high. What car u driving bro?I was on 185 earlier and then switched to 205. The fuel consumption has not much difference, still around 13km/l to 14km/l depending on my mood. But the car stability is much more improved especially during rainy days, on 185, almost everytime when we press the brake harder, ABS will kick in, as the tyre is skidding. It has never skidded once since I switched to 205 tyre. |

QUOTE(menmissed @ Dec 30 2016, 02:18 PM) my city 185/55/16 looking for tires.. any recommendation except xm2? My exp is xm2 doesnt do well in wet. thats why im not considering it. U cannot have your pie and eat it.currently looking at ps4, but smallest is 205. If i change to 205/50/16, will it be bumpy? i would like less noise, comfort and grip. U want less noise, u gotta compromise grip, and vice versa. |
