1. state the instrument(s) you play; Guitar (Rhythm, some lead. not that great at lead. Never speed practiced...In between playing with a pick and with my thumb...mostly improvise on minor/pentatonics though i've been trying to make head/tail out of jazz for 2 years)
2. your influences/musical preferences; Dire Straits, Led Zep, Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Nick Drake, Doobie Brothers, SRV, Journey (70s era), Santana (60's, 70's era), Deep Purple, Blackmores Night...I think you get the drift. I'm into blues rock, old school rock, etc. absolutely DETEST punk, emo, numetal, etc. I'm a complete music freak who has 500GB+ of mostly rock/blues mp3s and I can safely say that i've at least a few songs from every damn album in that collection. I used to be a maiden/metallica/megadeth/neoclassical/instrumental rock/melodeath freak, but I kinda grew out of it a few years ago.
3. looking for who; Just some people who have the same styles and influences..people I can relate to, jam with, have a good time.

Hey guys... Me and my band are currently actively looking for a bassist and vocalist to complete the band line-up based in Kuala Lumpur.

The bassist doesn't have to be a virtuoso (although welcome!!) Just someone who can play and fairly creative with their instrument. Must have their own equipment and also must have their own transport. Practices will be held in the Ampang Point area - but if you have a better place we are open to suggestions.

The vocalist must be someone who has some sort experience singing in a rock band. We are looking for someone with a strong voice - who can hold a note and also creative writing lyrics. We are looking for a frontman/frontwoman to front the band... so he/she can be a little theatrical - if you are female a bit like Skunk Anansie would be cool... for males - we would love to find someone who has a little bit versatility, maybe a little like Mike Patton of Faith No More

We am looking for people who really loves what he/she does and really wants to play in band. Must be able to set one day a week aside for band related matters such as practice/meetings etc etc. He/she needs to be punctual and also must get along and have the courtesy to respect all band members. He/she must also above all be focused and must be passionate for his music.

Collectively, our influences are from Hopes Fall, Funeral For A Friend, Converge, System of A Down, Atreyu, Lost Prophets, Deftones and many more... too many to mention... Well we will be playing rock... not trying to emulate these bands...
