The price of current ps3 is still expensive...althought i'm a ps3 fan, but because of few reason, i decide 2buy wii 1st...at least i can buy more games& enjoy the experince which u can't obtain from PS3...Maybe in future i'll get 360+PS3, who knows?

Anyway, I don't see myself getting a PS3 anytime in the near future. Why?

- Very little games that interest me (Resistance and Motorstorm oh wow). No RPGs or action games. Later in the future, MGS4, FFXIII, DMC4... long way to release.
- Pricey
- Don't have a OMG L33t TV to play to it's full potential. Still using a 10-year old 30inch CRT.
- Lol, Blu-Ray. Even pirated Blu-Ray games will be expensive, and Blu-Ray movies have a long way to come.

The most important point to me know is that there are very little games for it to justify my purchase.

I don't like the games lineup for Wii either.

360 is the only appealing choice to me now. Nice library of games too. But I think I'll wait a bit to buy that as well. Horror stories of 3ROD abound... mostly FPS games... Mass Effect will give me a slight push.

Until then, it's back to my PS2 and PC.

Nonsense. DVD was successful because it was supported by many electronic manufacturer. My first DVD player was my PC.

Urs statement is nth better than crap too. The statement is legitimate. More powerful here means the games graphic are improve tremendously and more contents that need to be fit in the media, thus the introduction of BD. This is to cater for the graphic development in the future.

Of coz, whether the games are creative or not are ups to gamers and the games developers but the statement is nontheless true.

X360 is also next-gen. Wii, in a way, is also next-gen. But in the end, both are still cheaper than the PS3. Very clear?

It's a marketing buzz word much like how Sony says "1080p is True HD" or "120fps", or "next-gen doesn't start until we (sony) says so".

Games like Resistance already make use of Blu-ray yet it its no better than Gears of War.

If 1 DVD is not enough, then the solution is multiple discs like what they did with Blue Dragon. Don't make swapping discs as an issue because I sure as hell know that nobody cried when we had to switch discs during the Playstation 1 era.
What for study the protocol? The end consumers are not interested in protocol. They just want to plug & play. What is the point of harping about "1.3" ?
