I'd say that overall, a good PS3 experience is still expensive for the average Malaysian. Those people who do have a PS3, already have enough money to get the hardware to support it, so expensive or not, it's not really an issue.
You can get away with a good X360 experience for much cheaper, thanks to the VGA cable and relatively cheap widescreen LCD monitors available nowadays. The extra US$50 for Live is really nothing compared to splashing out for a 1080p TV
