Do you have a router that fails to start no matter what and how much you try? A device that can no longer function because of a firmware corruption or boot failure is termed "bricked", reducing its usefulness to that of a piece of brick or paperweight. Routers get bricked for a variety of reasons, including flashing to an incorrect custom firmware, a firmware upgrade process that was interrupted or encountered a failure, and under rarer circumstances, serious misconfiguration or corruption of the stored firmware over time. A bricked device cannot be recovered using the hardware reset button. Recovery requires internal hardware access through either serial console or JTAG.

I have close to a 100% record for successfully debricking all routers sent to me. However, there are instances where a brick is beyond recovery due to hardware failure where recovery would incur more expensive service and hardware component charges. Such damages are commonly due to lightning strikes or overheating.

Do not upgrade your firmware over a wireless connection. Use an Ethernet cable with a secure and stable connection instead. Never interrupt the upgrading process even when the process appears to have completed. Giving it a few more minutes wouldn't hurt and could save you from a bricked router. Always double and triple check to make sure that the upgrade firmware or custom firmware that you wish to flash your router to is compatible with your router's model and hardware revision. Ensure that you can sustain a continuous power supply for at least the next 15 minutes for the flashing process. Avoid flashing during a thunder storm where power trips are more likely to occur.

Not sure which speedtest you're using but is it cutting off the internet connection for a more accurate test?

I don't think there's anything wrong with your router's WiFi if it doesn't get interupted by anything else other than a speedtest. Have you tried www.speedtest.net?

Hello, unfortunately if it's ONLY the 4th LAN LED lighted throughout the entire boot sequence, then you're better off replacing the router due to hardware failure.
