Any outside workshop will allow you to bring your own parts. They will just charge you higher for workmanship. Those places that charge like RM10 for oil change is already making some profit from the engine oil itself. If they charge you only RM10 to change to your own engine oil then they will close shop soon. Better hurry.

Do take note that servicing a car is not just about changing engine oil. When you send car to service, they are supposed to inspect other things and condition. Like eg, absorber leaking oil, need to change and so on. If only change engine oil and they never check anything or even if they did but never inform you then that workshop is lousy. In long term you are going to fork out more money to fix your car. That is why SC charges higher. They do proper preventive maintenance for you.

Dont ever go to this Shell workshop ever, for Subang people.
The tauke boss (Chinese) has arrogance as high as Mount Kinabalu.

Just to change engine oil and oil filter (bring own oil and filter), bloody charge me RM 25
When I demand explanation on why the fark he charge RM 25 , he just say "Price increase" . Fark you.

I goto USJ 19, its only RM 15. No questions asked.

This one charges reasonable and has alot of commercial vehicles always.

Damn...charging RM25 for changing oil already screaming. That is normal price leh. If found someone charging RM15 only then better stick to that workshop. That is really cheap. If he charge like RM50 then I understand but RM25 is acceptable. My area, all charge RM30 eh.

If you think it is such an easy job then do it yourself, like me.

Be glad that we get charged so cheap for labour. In countries like SG or AU, they charge RM100 for simple service.

What? Charge RM25 for change brake pad is considered expensive? Is it done by foreigner pomen or something? No wonder workshops are having issue of surviving.

And does this work include, re-lubing the caliper, cleaning the contacts, putting antiseize and generally cleaning the surrounding components? Or straight up just replace the brakepad?
