I got my "300" as a birthday present from my buddy... he bought it in Kinokuniya... and they are having a 25% discount off...

Anyway... I've read the graphic novel, and it seems the movie has more depth compare to the graphic novel...

Well... with Sin City 2 coming in and it will be "A Dame to Kill For" story... did you know that Rachel Weisz is going to be star as Ava?

On another note... and it's sad that we never get a chance to watch it in our own Malaysian shores...

Zack Snyder (director of 300) was given greenlight to direct Alan Moore and Dave Gibbon's Watchmen... a teaser clip was shown in the newly 300 extended trailer...

A Watchmen teaser?

Holy cow! My pants are officially peed on now.

It was actually a test shot done by Snyder... and Warner Bros were impress by that few seconds clip... with over USD 70++ box-office for 300, he was given that project straight. Snyder wanted to bring the cast of 300 in the project... and he's hoping casting Gerard Butler (King Leonidas) as The Comedian...

If you want to see the screen, here's a sneak pic (taken from IGN) of Rorschach picking up the smiley.

Ooh. Butler as the Comedian eh?

And excellent screenie of Roscharch.

Can't wait! But how the hell they gonna squeeze all that wit and story into a movie?

I'm thinking the same thing... Watchmen was more of serialize TV Series than a movie... there are so many plots involved!!!

I mean, the origin of Dr. Manhattan, The Comedian, Nite Owl, Ozymandias... that's a lot to digest... I just hope they don't mess it up... but with Snyder in the reign... maybe a Trilogy...? Chuckle..

I can never understand what is there to argue when "300" is a good movie and it ends there...

The movie wasn't even made for Propaganda purpose (as today's newspaper The Star pointed out how Iran was angry at the movie where the Spartans are not even Americans at all and they don't even know it's based on a graphic novel/comic book miniseries) but truely was made because Zack Snyder was a fan of Frank Miller (read his interview in IGN)...

Hollywood is there to entertain and also to rake our cash cows into their bank accounts. But propaganda? Isn't that far-fetch? During the 1940s, many movies were made into propaganda because of government intervention... in today's standard, what propaganda is there?

I feel to argue points of who is right or who is wrong is getting too deep into a movie like "300" whereby this movie is based on Frank Miller's version of his comic book mini-series. Not even about the history behind the 300 Spartans... comic book, fiction...

I fear later when Watchmen is shown here in Malaysia... more Propaganda will be involve... geez...

Hairy: When Watchmen is shown here (if ever) I suppose who eats the chillies will feel hot eh?

Kekekeke... I think the arguement will be "who's politically correct on this movie version" between movie-goers and fans of Watchmen...
