My SPM result is really bad, I only got 4 credit . .

Could I able to take STPM?

Why did this happen? You better have a good reason if not spm also cannot/no need to retake

private colleges/uni in short IPTS usually require student to have 3 or 4 Credit with BM getting a PASS

for public colleges/uni IPTA usually require student to have 5 credit

No, I'm afraid not.

MPM clearly states here that candidates must "lulus Bahasa Melayu dalam peperiksaan Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)" to register as a candidate for STPM, not for Form 6 in schools.

There's nothing wrong of going to appeal in School.
I remember some of my friends did horribly badly in SPM 2015 did scored a spot in Form 6.

I'm afraid it's not going to help because this is a criteria set by MPM, which is out of a school's jurisdiction. Your friends probably did horribly in SPM but met all the criteria set by MPM, meaning they probably lost in a competition where there were many people who performed better (they didn't get accepted because the limited seats allowed only better performers). In that case, an appeal can be lodged. In TS's case I sincerely do not think a school can do anything for you.

In fact, it's out of the Ministry of Education's jurisdiction because MPM (Majlis Peperiksaan Malaysia) is an independent establishment separated from MOE.

MPM does mention that if you failed BM but wish to study MPM, you can opt for SPM BM Ulangan in July. So if it's an option by TS you might want to figure out how fast.

Sorry to see your results, but this is not the end of the world. You should definitely consider diploma rather than STPM.

Seriously it will be an extremely steep curve for you to do well in STPM. if you are unable to do well in STPM then no point spending 2 years in it. Moreover, even if you do well in STPM it doesn't guarantee that you will get your first option of study.

The question is more on did you study hard during SPM? because if you did not, that result considered not bad.

would be better to resit spm . You would need at least 5 credits in order to enter private university . Moreover your BM need to be at least credit to enter form six .
You would not survive in Form 6 with your result. Spm is like the easier version of the stpm don't waste time in it . As someone who been through stpm IT IS VERY TOUGH
No f***ing joke .. I would recommend just resit your spm . Pass what's required to do a foundation and then you can start from there..
