If want good graphics use TM4151LMi, with nvidia Gefore Go 6200 amd 512mb DDR2 RAM.

the latest for 1680 series i think is 1682WLMi, 15.4" wide XGA LCD display, with ATI Radeon 9700 64mb DDR vRam. Build in 3 in 1 card reader, if not mistaken its RM4799.

huh? wat brand is tat?? never heard of one?? aiya..i'm outdated liao..

izzit possible to purchase a brand new notebook, preferably comes with international warranty, but has its internal optical drive removed? since i have a external one, so i think having a extra burner is a waste.

i checked dell's site, they said an optical drive is a must-have. when i customise notebook, they don't have an option to remove that dvd combo..

any suggestion is appreciated

Centrino technology preferably, need long battery life
Windows XP Pro - at least SP1
Must be durable and have good after sales service

and of coz the optimum combination of specs.

Mainly for:-
i) Designing purpose, will use Adobe PhotoShop, Illustrator, Flash
ii) Web development
iii) Expect fast performance as need to demo web prototypes to clients

Note: No games will be installed in the notebook.

Hey, I am finding a new notebook which i am looking forward for this Dell Inspiron™ 6000 Intel® Pentium® M 740/750/760 Notebook for RM 4570.00 . I have upgraded some specification but i still dont noe wheather is it worth or not I changed the 3D card to ATI X300 128MB , 100GB , and 1.73GHz . And also, what does "Don't forget to upgrade your warranty for years of peace of mind!" means????

Centrino is a mobile technology whereas Pentium M is the CPU. Pentium M is a component of the Centrino Technology.

If u mean in terms of MR9600 vs x300.. but i think go for T43 if the price is not much difference like 1000++ (since u have to fork out alot for an IBM - duh! anyway)..
Can go lowyat plaza see see lo.. cheaper i think..
