Hi there

I would love to know if my Macbook Pro with Retina 13" could afford to launch games(eg. Sims 3 or Sims 4 and Left4Dead2)
I've heard of bootcamp to change to Windows. Will having bootcamp enable me to play games? If so, how much does bootcamp cost? Is there any way to "crack" it?

macOS Sierra
Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphis Intel Iris 1536 MB

Thank you so much smile.gif

Botocamp is really just like installing Windows on any other PC. You run any windows games and apps. Bootcamp itself is free, included with all Macs.

But the Windows OS itself you need to acquire yourself. Up to you where you want to get a copy.

No experience but based on benchmarks, Sims 4 and L4D2 should be fine at medium to low settings.

No piracy discussion is allowed here.

and to answer TS, for light gaming no issues running on Mac OS itself but if you want full experience gaming then MBP is not for it.

If you dont mind the low settings, then you can go ahead with the purchase

By booting into Windows via Bootcamp, you can install Windows 10 and then also use external graphics cards like the Razer Core for a better gaming experience as well.

[Using bootcamp in my mbp 13" retina 2015] Been playing F1 2013 at medium settings. Tom Clancy Ghost Recon Future Soldier at low settings and both NFS Hot Pursuit 2010 and Ace Combat Assault Horizon at max settings. Not much lag but your mbp does get super hot.

Be sure to have a proper cooling fan.
